One tune up is enough. I rather have him fight 2 times a year against quality opponents, rather than 3-4 times a year again the JoJo Dans and Frankie Gavins of the world. By the end of 2016 I'd bet that the best name on Brook's resume will be a Rios/Chaves kind of guy, he won't fight the Maidana/Bradley/Thurman's of the world.

Maybe that's why Brook ducked him? He's scared of a repeat of the first Carson Jones fight. I'd pick Brook to comfortably beat him, but then again I'd pick him to beat Jones in the 1st fight, but Jones won that fight.

So I guess Thurman should fight chris van heerden or johan perez next since they're cheap.

Brook will beat Rios as easy as Mayweather beat Manny... and that's very very easy.

How do you know whats enough for the guy?. Like i said he nearly lost it all less than a year ago and is back fighting. Can't knock him for getting a couple of fights under his belt and testing the leg out. i'll leave judgment till later thanks.

Why call him out then fight Gavin when he was available? Doesn't make sense, it's clearly a duck.

Why is he calling out bigger names, and then fighting Gavin when Rios is available? I know what's enough for him when he starts calling guys out. If he stated that he's still in recovery and needs tune-ups, I'd be more understanding.

Alvarado was 152 in the 2nd fight to Rios' 149 and Alvarado was 158 in the 3rd fight to Rios' 161. But what have facts ever meant to you?

Rios hasn't been significant in years. Rios shouldn't be in play for any title shot, let alone a title shot at WW where he's done nothing at the weight.

Do you agree with me now? We previously debated on what Brook should have done for his next couple fights, and I said he should have fought Rios, then Bradley for his mando later this year. If I'm correct you were under the assumption that the Rios fight was 100%, and that he would fight another credible name like bradley/chaves/thurman/maidana/khan for his last fight of the year. It doesn't look like this is going to happen. If it does, I'd definitely eat my crow and give Brook major props, but I have a feeling he'll either fight another Gavin/Dan caliber guy, and a Chaves/Rios at the end of the year, or just a Chaves/Rios for the rest of the year after Gavin.

Why did Brook call him out then? A guy who lost to Thurman's tuneup deserves a title shot?

If he doesn't end up fighting 2 of the names we listed in the initial conversation then you will be right and I and Hans will be wrong.
