Wrong. Kevin Rooney trained Tyson for the spinks fight. How could you not know that?
Tyson looked like **** in the Bruno fight.
Your agenda is clear and your posts lack reason, objectivity and logic.

    Are you blind?

There can be no other excuses for your pathetic assumption that Tyson was not in equal shape for all 3 of those fights. An out of shape guy does not despatch 3 fighters in a combined 7 rounds if he isn't properly trained.

I honestly didn't know or fuking care whether or not Rooney trained him for Spinks. As for agenda's whatever mine is it couldn't possibly compare with the blind man love you Tyson freaks share for him.

KO 8 is all you need to know.

Why would I not hate a convicted nonce case? Call me old fashioned but for some strange reason I respect women, not the scum who ra pe them.

Indeed, Lenni Chiny Cant take a punch to the face Lewi's only claim to fame beating Washed up fighters.

As far as the **** allegation is concerned i suggest you watch this

Dan Rafael wrote a pretty good retrospective about the fight. He notes Tyson was not in prime shape for the fight - which was written about at length by various sources at the time the fight happened. Dan Rafael is a very respected boxing writer

You and Foxy will undoubtedly call him a know nothing hack but I think he has some integrity.

Sometimes it's hard to accept that your idol was beat by the better fighter, I'm a Tyson fan myself and once felt the same way as you. I feel for you I really do but you've got to let go, Douglas destroyed a Tyson who was in top condition.

Funny how you fanatics bring up Bruno as a sign of his decline without Rooney but go all silent when I mention Carl Williams, the fight prior to Douglas where Tyson looks his deadly best...

For once I agree with you, no way in hell was Tyson all hype but he's not as good or great as half the fanatics on here make out.

Tyson is not my idol. It's just some of us were around watching his fights, reading about boxing, and absorbing the reality of what was going on with him in 1988-1990.

It's obvious it was a combination of a less than prepared Tyson and a GOATing Douglas that night that did Tyson in.

I think it's fair to say Tyson was in pretty good shape for Douglas.

Man you can't be more wrong can you. If you think Tyson looks his "deadly best' vs Carl Williams than you are a liar about ever being a real Mike Tyson fan. He was horribly slow vs Williams, getting hit while trying to bob and weave, it was OBVIOUS he was out of shape. Tyson never lost his power and he landed a clean shot that won the fight in the first round but watch the fight again. His defense is SLOW. He had trainers that were fans, not trainers. No one was making him work and it showed.

Because you're blinded by your own personal hatred of him. The fact is he is and always will be the youngest HW of all time and one of the most devastating. He 100% cleaned out his division, looked around and thought "this is it?" lol. He was king of the world making hundreds of millions and he didn't care anymore, flat out. He got ran through the ringer by Givens and King and to anyone with half a brain it was crystal clear Tyson started to deteriorate as a soon as he left Rooney. Anyone saying otherwise is just trying to belittle the once great fighter.

Mike was a head case and he needed a hard nose that could keep him in check. When he left Rooney he went hog wild and no one could tell him any different. Rooney brought the kid up and knew how to control him and keep the leash on him.

Tyson was a fully developed man by the time he won the title at 20, I'd say Patterson winning the title at 21 is more impressive because he was yet to fully mature. As for all those excuses, they have been boring for a very long time now. :-(
