I don't believe it was anywhere near as serious as they claim, he was throwing it viciously though not 100%, Floyd has well documented hand issues and I believe can't use xylocaine up to 1 week before fighting. The shoulder wasn't a major reason why he lost the fight, that much is certain. There's degrees to it, look at Berto and Lacy when they injured their shoulder, could barely lift them to parry. Mayweather had problems with the rotator cuff in Castillo 1 but could still use it efficiently enough. If he comes in with a saner strategy and can get Mayweather off his rhythm he definitely has the potential to cause problems but Mayweather can always just do what he did in the fight, nullify Pacquiao and not take any risks.

Top marks earned for perseverance my friend. On the bright side at least you weren't spoiled by having a classic Leonard-Duran I type of bout for your first watch.

Hatton was the last bum Mayweather legitimately knocked out. Manny gave him a concussion and the ring doctor had to hold his head to prevent brain swelling.
Hatton is not all there up top.

Just glad it's over and done with.

Better that it happened rather than it not happening at all.

Lowered expectations? I never thought of that :!:
I though that a 46 year old black dude outboxing some giant who had 100 pounds on him was a rather spectacular show.

It was over May 2nd. Unfortunately, seems like some fans on here can't handle the truth that #48 was never on Floyd's level.
