Duran is too small for him. Leonard and SRR are 50/50 fights. I think GGG beats Hopkins, Benn, RJJ, Pavlik, Duran, Hagler. Nobody has tested GGG yet. That's not his fault. Like, he's the one chasing Froch. He'll beat Froch more convincingly than Ward did.
I think GGG knows he can hang his chin out against the likes of Monroe, I just do not see him doing the same at 168. People forget GGG was an elite amateur, he has far more technical skill than he has shown in some of his recent fights and I think a fight like this will see almost a completely different approach from Golovkin. I think Froch's inactivity, his talk of retirement and GGG's power and style makes this a much more dangerous fight for Froch than some people think.
While I think Rummy has drifted off into hyperbole a bit, I do think Froch is a very tough fight for GGG. Much tougher than Ward actually. Styles make fights, and Froch's chin, fighting insticts and natural power make him very dangerous for Golovkin. Ward just looks flashy early, but loses fight on accumulation of body shots.
Froch kicking the s h i t outta Bute was one of my favorite boxing moments in recent time. Froch is a beast and will test GGG like only two other men around 168 can (ward kovalev). To answer the question, it's possible, I suppose. But not likely. GGG ain't going anywhere. Neither is Cobra. Epic matchup. Please God, let it happen.
Froch won't outland GGG It'll be competitive but GGG has the better technical skills. Has a great chin himself and has exceptional stamina(Froch comes on strong during he later rounds so GGG's stamina won't be an issue) If Froch tries to Bute him. He'll end up getting countered very quickly in the fight and than Froch will rely on his jab to keep GGG at bay. GGG's movement though, will get inside Froch in most instances and Froch will just be outworked by the superior boxer. Froch will have success, he's just not as good as GGG. If Taylor and AD can outbox Froch, GGG sure as hell can because he's on another level to both of those fighters.
Froch - This content is protected This content is protected , This content is protected GGG - This content is protected , This content is protected This content is protected Froch has nothing but his slight size advantage to offer, which will prove meaningless as the fight progresses, and he will go down with a KO around 7-8. I very rarely bet on boxing, I'd bet good money on this.
I think this is the point, I think Golovkins technical ability is completely overlooked because of recent performances. Golovkin is a very gifted boxer.
"GGG's chin looks vulnerable to me. He gets tagged flush by small, mediocre middleweights, and has been stopped in his tracks." Froch has been hurt before. Much more than GGG has. If you think Froch has the power to knock out GGG you'll be surprised how much GGG laughs off most of Froch's attacks. GGG gets hit because he comes in head first and wants it to create openings himself. Froch gets hit flush more times than GGG. That's Froch's downfall in this fight. GGG will land at will and will have Froch on the back-foot.
Froch is gonna have: 3-4 inch height advantage 5 inch reach advantage weight advantage home turf advantge I dont see how GGG can win
