It's harder to box like Mayweather then be a brawler.

Besides the physical gifts, Mayweather has too much control over his emotions. Something you seldom see, especially from a fighter.

What are your thoughts about this?

True, and it's more tiring to back pedal than go forward, human body wasn't made to go backward.

Mayweather was even more aggressive & dominant in the early stage of his career ( until maybe 2006 when he had to take a break due to hand injuries). Don't forget vasyl is 27 or something like that and just turned pro, soon enough he'll have to fight conservatively to not gass out.

Depends on what level you're talking about and which aspect of boxing you prefer.

Take Duran for example, he was every bit as good as Mayweather and most who saw both would say better. But his style was far more than just brawling, he could stay in the pocket make you miss and counter punch you with vicious combinations to the body and head. Or he could not counter you and do the same thing, he just wouldn't wait for you to begin your offense if he seen a chance to use his first. He had ands of stone and a granite chin and grew up on the streets, so he was a street fighter, who became a very refined puncher/boxer.

And yes, he was emotional. Ad he told Dr Pacheco, when you get in the ring with me, as far as I'm concerned your trying to take my house, my family, my food, and everything I have away from me.

In fact he was so vicious that when he beat the **** out of one opponent and the opponent had to go to the hospital he said next time it will be the morgue.

Now this isn't typical having that skill set and that kind of attitude, but it within the Mexican boxing community for example the mindset is similar. JCC wasn't a whole lot different.

Which of the two styles is harder? Hard to say, I would say they both require fairly different attributes, and someone like Mayweather goes into a fight hoping not to get hurt, that's a far cry from someone going into a fight trying to seriously hurt you.

floyd gets rewarded by vegas bec he is their cash cow.

if it's somewhere else (or someone else), he would be forced to fight more aggressively else he will be losing.

    Well said.

Guys like Duran and Chavez were just as skilled as Mayweather and all round better boxers.

They constantly put themselves in harms way and did their boxing up close, well within punching range. That's risky stuff; you have to have real skills to be successful and dominant fighting this way.

These guys looked to impose themselves on their opponents and take them down. They had the warrior spirit, the heart of a lion; people will always admire those qualities.

Most importantly they looked good when they let their hands go and they knew how to put on a great fight.
