groves world title shot done deal. now get a new trainer

    Would hate groves not to end up with a world champion

    do think his trainer is a bum though

    I don't rate Paddy myself, think he just isn't right for Groves as I have not seen the sort of devastating punching under him that we saw in the Gonzalez fight, and I am not including Froch I as most of the training was done by Booth with Paddy picking it up towards the end. Still, I do believe he can win the fight with Paddy though.

    dirrell thought that. Just wouldn't want groves to come in unprepared. we'd never hear the last of it on this board and from froch :bbb

    Groves def has the skills and power but his stamina is a biiger issue for me than his chin. The late manny stewart would have been great he always did well with a boxer/puncher who has a nice jab and straight right.

    He had a little dig at booth on sky saying he had progressed since fighting degale. Saying his team is far better now with paddy as trainer! I wonder if paddy just let's him do as he pleases where as booth didn't.

    Not sure, he may give Groves more input with the tactics but apparently in camp Fitzpatrick is a tough taskmaster. I enjoy listening to him, always provides an educated opinion and good insight.

    Paddy is a good trainer but Adam Booth is world class. Booth is a master at devising the right game plan for his fighters. If Groves ends up fighting Degale again he'll need Booth.

    This is the same trainer that played a huge part in Groves winning 75% of the rounds over the 2 fights against Carl Froch?

    Yeh kick that bum to the kerb!

    i think he's gone into the last 3 fights with the wrong tactics. He's laboured wins because he has bags of talent. i think with the right trainer he could really live at world level

    Froch actually got it spot on after the Rebrasse fight Groves is at his best when he boxes and moves. The last two fights he has been staying in the pocket far too long with his hands up tight trying to walk people down like he is Miguel Cotto and for me that is all wrong.
