I want to see people's top 10, or even 20 for that matter. If you can't post it, you shouldn't talk about where people rank. And for those that say "he ducked this guy or that guy", remember he was with Top Rank for most of his career, he didn't pick his fights back then.

He has a win against fellow ATG in his prime that counts a lot. Also solid wins against HOFs in around their primes. I know that Gomez was coming up in weight but I think that he was still a healthy favorite in this match up. Do you believe Floyd or any other top athlete fought his whole career on clear water??? I don't personally.

There's a huge difference between a YOUNG fighter on the come up trying to prove his worth so he can make the big $$$ and a 38 yr old with almost 20 yr pro boxing career that probably accomplished everything he wanted to, has nothing to prove, and is basically only continuing just so he can collect the $$$ he's been making.

Floyd has the whole game figured out.

Smartest boxer Ive ever seen. Best defensive fighter Ive ever seen.

He gets in the top ten by virtue of being the best fighter of his generation.

Anyone that thinks Mayweather had zero exciting fights is a complete newbie that has only seen a two or three recent fights of Mayweather. I highly suggest you watch his fights at 130 and 135.

The thread title should be changed to "An open letter to Mayweather from a clueless newbie".

LOL at this theory that great fighters make exciting fights. There are plenty of great fighters who have matches that aren't competitive and will put you to sleep.

And the OP is really a moron for saying Floyd has "zero" exciting fights. The man had a brawl just 2 fights ago for crying out loud. (Mayweather vs Maidana I) If you didn't find that fight exciting, you plain just don't like boxing.

"Your like Pernell Whitiker,, skilled- ,,yes.. but no great fighter. Nobody talks about him." :patsch

He doesn't have a defining win. There is no signature win.

    Hagler had his Hearns

    Pacquiao had his Barrera

    Ali had his Frazier

    Robinson had his Lamotta

Nothing he ever did ever had that awe factor. Where you say are we really witnessing this? Did he ever put a beatdown on a truly great prime fighter?
