Why do people think Mike Tyson had stamina issues

In the Tyson film he said he had asthma so was glad his fights ended early.

But if we actually look at the evidence, the first time Tyson showed signs of stamina issues was vs Holyfield in 96'

 

6 round fighter at best. Turned into a bum

 

Post Prison Tyson was a Circus Act.

Once he left Rooney he was no longer the disciplined boxer he once was and relied way to much on intimidation ..

 

Yeah but here started declining by then as you saw how his career ended .

When he was those guys he fought more frequently and trained harder

 

Agreed it was more mental he started to lose his killer intinct

The reason he lost badly to Douglas aside from Douglas impressive performance, game plan and Tyson's own lack of preperation and training was the fact he was out of gas.

 

Tyson didn't have stamina issue. with the elites he was often forced to fight the full 15 rounds, and still won each time using the same style.
