Is it possible? GGG is battering Froch pillar to post for 8 rounds, and then Froch throws one wild shot that connects makes GGG stumble slightly in the 9th, where an overzealous British ref jumps in to save The Cobra?

Is this a legit reason for concern for GGG?

Personally, I think Froch is going to beat GGG's mug like a drum and win a hard fought workmanlike battle in decisive fashion.

But in the unlikely event I'm wrong...

I was thinking it as well, if GGG ever traps over his feet or is affeted by the sweat on the ground, the referee could stop the fight. GGG likes to take some punches as well, I wouldn't be suprised ifa referee uses it for Froch's advantage.

But I don't think it comes so far, this will be a war, infight, Mexican style. GGG by knockout around round 5.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

So if this fight does indeed happen, GGG deserves major credit for just taking a fight against a dangerous warrior like The Cobra. But then he deserves even more credit on top of that for risking his record and star power over in the UK where things may end badly if he slips or stumbles for any reason whatever.

People complain about the 'British stoppages' Calzaghe got but I guarantee you Jeff Lacy wishes he was the 'victim' of one.

Calzaghe basically turned him into a downs syndrome suffer.

Just because Froch gets home advantage doesn't mean necessarily all British officials, right? :huh

Yeah because Manfredo was looking like he had anymore of a chance than Lacy....at least Manfredo had somewhat of a career after thanks to that ref.

And people tend to forget, that British fighters are the ones who are most often victims of 'British stoppages'

Bet Geroge Groves looks at his bank account every day and thanks allah for Howard Foster.

Could happen. As a Brit, I hate the dreaded British stoppage.

After Froch fails to make the 10 count, they're going to help him up, slip him some smelling salts and then the ref yells "fight!" again. That's how Golovkin is going to make the homefield advantage work against him.
