Pacquiao walked in 2009 for good reason. It was a 50-50 fight at that point...six years later Floyd was a 3/1 favorite and bigger draw, so Floyd's original terms were agreeable.

The consensus at the time was that Margarito was a terrible matchup for Floyd and Williams was worse...bottom line is Floyd has never been interested in fights that anyone thinks he can lose.

 

If all his logical next contenders are black, and he isn't considering any of them, then it does matter.
