Then why don't you start a thread asking how Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Holmes and rest fare in the 50's? Because this one specifically mentions Marciano in the 70's.

Conversely we have SEEN the brothers Klitchko, and Lewis, and their capabilities. We can't simply pretend them to be 30's or 50's stiffs just because it suits your agenda.

What you and the other oldies fans are expecting people to do is frankly quite stupid. As stated we have SEEN both the admirable qualities, and the limitations of both the older era, and the newer era's fighters, yet you want us to ignore what are eyes have shown us, and imagine that all the bigger men from Liston onward's are just big stupid lummox's like the ones Louis, and Marciano beat.

Well that part is definitely nonsense. There is a reason for weight divisions with limits ( other than Heavy ) and either both guys have same day weigh ins, or both don't, even in fantasy match ups.

However take SRR v Jones Jr at 160. I don't give a fuk when Jones weighs in, or how much he rehydrates I'd still take Robinson to win if he only weighed 158 coming into the ring.

Hang on. Weren't you one of those giving Lewis loads of stick for " struggling with an out of condition fat " Mercer?

If so they must have been sh it steroids.

Lennox Lewis is my number 4 heavyweight of all time..I think there were both pros and cons about the Mercer performance

I rate Joe Louis greatest fighter of all time

Even the lighter Lewis was 16 stone 6 lbs, which is about 230 isn't it? ( for the Mason fight ) He was faster then than he was at 240+.

The funny thing is we used to be friendly and get along great. When I came back after a long break he was very complementary about me returning

His diapers haven't been changed in a couple weeks. That's probably why he's been so crabby lately

Completely disrespectful Foxy. ATG's the lot of them. How dare you make such a stupid ****ogy?? Ezz is an ATG HOF'er as are the other two. The 'Mongoose' fought for 'decades'! Jersey Joe was a 'slip and slide' techician' who exposed a fading Louis in the late forties.
    Totally wrong :?
