Of course, it is. Because why not put on a mismatch everybody knows the outcome to when you can put on a fight people want to see? Wouldn't Rios vs Maidana or Guerrero be about a hundred times better?

It'd make up for the two pointless ones against Dan and Gavin, staying busy and making some dough is better than sitting out I guess and Dan was a mandatory after all.

How the hell does Rios get another title shot at 147?

    Ridiculous ain't it?

a glorified punching bag that people pass as an okay opponent is how.

Brandon Rios would still be a nice name to have next to Shawn Porter :D

British glass will be smashed on this warm summer evening!

the english will be loud on this site after Degale beats up an old, inactive, and mentally fragile Dirrell tonight....I'll just have to deal with it. They going to be quiet as a mouse after Rios runs down Brook though!

    Excited for this one.

Rios gets yet another boxing lesson - probably his last. But at least he's always entertaining.

If manny could give him a boxing lesson, kell brook who fight the EU tall style is gonna school him good... Boring UD.

Rios isn't world level at 147.

I also expect this to be a one-sided schooling by Brook but it's still a fun fight and Rios always comes to entertain as he walks in wide open like a sandbag. This is a good fight that should bring Brook more publicity, and that's something he really needs. I like where his management is going.

    right?
who doesnt want to see undefeated welterweight Brook against a guy that has lost 2 of his last 4
with 30 of his 35 fights being at lightweight and only 2 at welter
    hope this is a joke

Canelo vs. Kirkland, Gonzalez vs. Sosa and Golovkin vs. Monroe were all one-sided mismatches. Lots of people loved those fights. As long as someone gets beat up, the fans should eat up this proposed fight as well.
