I didn't know they were fighting. I haven't even heard about the fight. Maybe it was mentioned here or there in these forums, but I never heard about it being talked on ESPN or anything? Maybe I missed it

No you don't have to watch every basketball game to be a fan...

But there are an average of about 7 basketball games A DAY during the regular season and most of them are happening concurrently.

How often do 2 of the top 10 fighters in a division square off? Once, maybe twice a week if we're lucky? I would think a fan would make it a point to watch when that's happening.

You don't watch Stevenson, Lomachenko, Crawford, Walters, Frampton, Betribiev, Wilder, Canelo? THese are all very mainstream boxers, besides maybe Frampton.

    That's fair :good

There have been a lot of threads about it on here, mostly MVC types saying things like "ANDRE DIRRELL WILL SHATTER DEGALE'S BRITISH GLASS JAW, FACT! :deal" so I don't blame you for ignoring those.

But if you want a heads up on what fights you can expect on the schedule there is a full calendar on ESPN and the underlined fights are for a title. You can also go to the boxrec calendar and they will 'rate' the fights out of 5 stars.

Who the hell watches espn to see what fights are coming up? ESPN never talks about boxing unless it's pac/floyd related. Go google upcoming fights, and jot down the ones that seem worthy.

Against who? Pac or Castillo? This transcript was from the Castillo fight. He won both, but I'm just showing pointing out the double standard.

Against Castillo, Mayweather looked worse than usual and undermined that by excusing it with the rotator cuff. Against Mayweather, Pacquiao performed worse than usual and undermined that by excusing it with the rotator cuff; however, we only rag on Pacquiao because he lost. Well, let me tell you something. If Mayweather lost against Castillo, he still would've brought up the shoulder. If Pacquiao won against Mayweather, he still would've brought up the shoulder and still would've got surgery.

Yes it impeded him and wasn't 100%, no it wasn't anywhere near as severe as they claim, nobody suggested he had an injured shoulder and there were plenty of actual boxers ****yzing and watching the fight, no it would've made no difference if he had three goddamn arms or shoulders crafted of the finest onyx with the cautious, farcical approach freddie gave him. He was throwing vicious right hooks regardless, he was fast, he was there every step of the way despite getting outpointed and nullified easily as he was clueless how to find his preferred mid-range (where he's only really effective).

He could not outmuscle Floyd, he had no speed advantage, his range was taken away, his flurries did nothing and they were a heavy barrage folks. He had no answer for the right hand, since round 1 he was massively cautious and that compounded his flawed strategy. He would always have the tools to cause Mayweather problems if he played to his strengths, look at Maidana, predictable as anything but it had success.

He was 3-0 down before he even reinjured it, the pattern of the fight was down. His best rounds were 4 and 6. He lifted his arms merrily at the end, no ice or comments in the corner. Berto and Lacy could barely move their arms to parry when they seriously injured their rotator cuffs, Pacman is a tough as nails man who can overcome many things but he would not be able to put up a spirited effort like that if it was bad enough to blame the fight on.

Mayweather has terrible, well documented hand problems, yet he finds a way despite injuring them constantly, no excuses, if you're in that ring you accept it, Bradley's ankles were part of why he lost to manny but not the major component, he was still game. Froch had cracked rib and perforated ear drum against Pascal, didn't even mention it, gave Pascal tons of credit, Froch was still capable of pulling out the win. Mayweather against Castillo, his shoulder was injured, he was still game and I think lost but he made it damn well close, Castillo had the style to cause problems regardless (like Maidana when he was fully fit) and implemented the correct strategy. Manny got dismantled, no matter how impressive an ATG he is, in this fight he got negated and gave very little credit.

Let me break it down to you. Manny was acting all big and tough fight week and saying "I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna do that" "don't worry I'm soooo gonna beat him".

All this when he knew that he had no chance of winning this fight due to his 'injury'. He conned us all! He is a fraud. He gave us hope when there was no hope!

Pac is a fraud! His name should not be said around these parts anymore!

Oh, Canelo/Kirkland! I watched that! I'm just telling you the fights I have watched live. (I've seen more on youtube) And I had Wilder in my list. I'm definitely going to keep up with Crawford, Canelo, Wilder, Lomanchenko. I've never heard of Stevenson, Walters, or Frampton. I have heard of Betribiev, but from these forums.

I'm definitely going to keep up with more fights that I'm aware of. One fighter in particular I haven't watched live yet but really want to is Rigondeaux. His defense seems insane.

I won't lie, when I talk to anyone who's not a boxing fan, they only know of Mayweather and Pacquiao. I remember my friend said, "They've fought two times already right?" It's kind of incredible how much of an household name they are even when most know nothing about them. It's like Tyson or Ali. Well, for all except maybe this woman....lol

You seemed like someone who knows a lot about boxing and then you have to say something like this. Smh. Maybe you just don't know a lot about Pacquiao.

    Let it go already abuffy.

What do you care if it's a big payday for either man? You're not seeing a dime of their money.

Your hero who you were opening threads up about every hour leading up to the fight lost. It happens, get over it.

You've made some pretty pathetic threads over the past few months, but this one takes the cake. Just get over it, the majority of people don't want to see a rematch because of the potential for it to be another stinkfest.
