Kell Brook vs Brandon Rios in the works for August 8th on HBO

Why are people complaining, Brook has fought back 2 back scrubs, at least he's possibly fighting someone that took Alvarado's 0, beat the hell out of Acosta and Peterson, and fought a guy in Manny's caliber. Brook should be fighting 2-3 brandon rios kind of guys a year thoguh.

Brook really couldn't ask for an easier assignment than Rios.

Rios might be poor but he's got name value.

That's something Brook needs on his resume to attract other big fighters.
Like, beating Rios comfortably might make Mexicans step up and notice Brook.

I'd prefer Rios earn a shot with another test than a clearly all over the place mentally Alvarado though, it was almost a gimme fight and he'll need to be sharpened up for the special one or he'll get shut out.

 

I don't know what you guys are talking about. This is a ***Y ass fight. I give Kell props for taking this fight, certainly better and more competitive to any GGG fight.

Rios is a warrior but he doesn't deserve a world title shot in my opinion. I think Kell picks him apart and shuts him out.
