Real boxing fans and followers of the sport would say Froch. Froch haters and Calzaghe nuthuggers will say Kessler. A lazy unmotivated, unhappy Froch nearly beat Kessler. An injured and unhappy Kessler had plenty of success against Prime Calzaghe
Think Kessler is maybe the better fighter but Froch clearly has the better resume Pascal, Dirrell, Taylor, Abraham, Bute, Groves X2, and Kessler.
What did Pascal, Dirrell, Taylor, Groves do at SMW? or do more than Mundine, Beyer, Siaca, Sartison. didnt many think a fighter that Kessler dominated deserved a win over Bute? Andrade
Why would real fans say Froch? Thats your opinion only. Tell me the top SMWs Froch beat and then compare that to some of the SMWs Kessler beat. Too bad you have an agenda. Its funny how you say end of career, last fight at SMW, long career, 22 SMW title fights Calzaghe was prime. You made your post clear
Do you only have to factor in what they did at that weight? Pascal moving up shows his skills an ability where enough to beat the number 1 at the weight above. Taylor wasn't as great a supper middle but he was a unified champ at the weight below.
Both men have a better resume than Andre Ward despite losing to him. They are Ward's only decent wins whereas Froch & Kessler have plenty. To say otherwise would be like saying Austin Trout has a better resume than Miguel Cotto
I do agree with that. Ward holds a win over both, but didnt beat either when prime or when undefeated champs and both have in my opinion a greater resume. Look at how Kessler and Froch have beaten top undefeated fighters. What top undefeated fighters and top undefeated fighters has Ward beaten?
Undefeated prime fighter? Sounds like the kind of guy Ward will price himself out to avoid. See his ducking of Golovkin and Kovalev.
:nod He wasn't interested in a fighting shot Froch in the UK. He said Wembley because he knew he wasn't big enough to fill it and it was his way of avoiding the fight. I personally believe his reluctance to leave his own back garden is down to him knowing the Californian state athletic commission are notoriously shady and he will be able to get away with the PEDs he's on. The much stricter British boxing board of control would have him if he stepped foot in a squared circle in this country.
did you even see the fights, bute was destroyed but forch arguably beat Kessler. frochs win is better by a mile, better than joes win over lacy too. rubbish u write. [/quote]
Groves was still prospect or pretty green with Carl fought him, if Groves goes on to do big things then it wil enhance his resume even more. Pascal beat Chad Dawson when he was at his prime, before the fight they were talking about Dawson being P4P high up and the next american big thing. Johnson i agree with you on, but he still managed to stop Green. Dirrell when he was at his prime was a dangerous opponent, but he just didn't achieve that much. Anthony Mundine is good, but nothing special. I would rate Froch's W over Taylor higher. Siaca is okay. Beyer is allright Undefeated Andrade was good and that was very impressive from Kessler. I agree with you, if you compare the two resume's then an victory over undefeated Froch is the best. But the rest of Kessler's resume isn't that special. And like i said before, they met in a rematch where Carl dominated him for the must of the fight in a more impressive style than Kessler did in the first fight.
