So you just just gonna downgrade wins because a fighter didn't accomplish much after that fighter beat them. Abraham was supposed to clobber froch remember. And he was the favorite to win the S6 Even Abraham fight with dirrell was a fluke because abraham was on his way to getting a knock out he still was one of the favorites after that. You giving kessler props for beating guys that would've been laughable participants in the S6 & would've gotten destroyed by even the likes of green & old man Johnson. If we gonna downgrade wins than Joe's win over lacy is laughable now. Even froch win over taylor is better than kesslers euro level wins because taylor was favored & had a lot left or he wouldn't even be winning the fight let alone in it froch took his soul.

Oh yeah & kessler barely beat froch & imo froch won that fight. Froch sent him on that hiatus because he beat his face in & caused more damage. Froch takes souls & is the reason most of his opponents were never the same. Like I said froch had the far more difficult schedule

Stieglitz is currently top rated in this era.
Bute many felt lost to Andrade first time around, a fighter prime Kessler handled with ease and Andrade wasnt a top SMW in the previous era which once again tells its own story.
You say about beating leftovers but forget that Wards best win is a faded, past best unwell, rusty double vision suffering fighter Calzaghe beat when prime, which could be a leftover, not to forget Bika.

you keep repeating your lie failey but surely everyone knows that froch is wards best win.

for clarification that's the froch that gibbering joe ran in fear from like a cowardzaghe.

but yes wards 2nd best win is uninjured Kessler, again the one that gibbering joe ran in abject terror from a rematch with.

not at all - what I said is fact, its true that bute was destroyed inside half the distance and lacy went the distance.

if your opinion is that's not true, then prove its not so.

yup its difficult for you to deny that bute was stopped brutally in half distance and lacy went the distance with featherfist joe.

so why not resort to just a smilie in reply? failey by name...

In the case of Abraham, he was just too small for SMW.

Most saw it as a 50-50 fight.

    Mikkel Kessler was the favourite.

S6 gave SMW a lot of attention, so you tend to think that fighters you don't know about were nobodies. Kessler had some solid opposition, and I can't see Allan Green and ancient Glen Johnson run them over.

This is about Froch and Kessler.

"Euro level wins" You have to look at how boxers actually perform, man.

But yeah, Jermanie Taylor was a good scalp. Since Froch beat up Kessler when they both were very faded, and also hold wins over Bute and Pascal (who didn't look drained at SMW even though he moved on to LHW) I can agree that the difference in resume isn't all that big. But Kessler still hold the better top win, and looked good fighting solid comp in a tougher era.

Froch puts on a better show, though. Even fighting some domestic level ginger when old and faded seems exciting when he's in the equation :good

I'm a bigger fan of Froch than Kessler but "barely beat" and "imo" doesn't count for much. It either is or it isn't. Froch vs Kessler was a war and Kessler stood his ground better.

Agreed, however Froch won clearly in the rematch. And when people say "that was an old Kessler" well it was even a older Froch and Froch since the first fight had way more tougher fights than Kessler.

    Kessler since Froch 1:

    Bouadla
    Green
    Magee

    Froch since the first fight:
    Abraham
    Johnson
    Ward
    Bute
    Mack

So if anything Froch should've been more shot than Kessler due to the harder fights. Kessler was more rested and didn't have ring rust coming in to the rematch.

Agree. I love Kessler, but outside of the Froch W, his resume is pretty thin compared to the Cobra. I cannot see how people can make a good case for Kessler having better names on his resume.
