Degale is a boxer mover and Ward has not fought that type of fighter at world level and doesnt seem to be interested in fighters like that. He hasnt fought Andre Dirrell, he wasnt interested in Bute as examples

DeGale would school Ward for 8 rounds before shattering his glass mandible :nod

Ward was looking at fighting around then, though the story at the time was he was going to face Kessler. So while we only have the word of Ambrose Mendy it correlates with a time that Ward was looking to fight.

A fight with Ward would be a fight I'd like to see. The 2004 Olympic light heavyweight gold medalist against the 2008 Olympic middleweight gold medalist would be a good fight.

It can kind of sell too, gold medalist vs gold medalist.

Well he didn't fight anyone so maybe there's a reason for that.

I'm a Ward supporter and I truly don't think that Degale stands a chance against him. I give Degale props for winning the Dirrell fight but I didn't see any extraordinary skills on display by him. The second round is what won him the fight and still two judges had it 114/112. I won't quibble about the cards because a win is a win. I'm impressed that he called out Ward and I hope that fight happens.

DeGale would be lucky to win 3 rounds against Ward.

I've never been overly impressed by DeGale. He showed a nice jab last night, stepping in with it and pushing Dirrel back with it and he has good upper body movement.

But I also can't see him troubling Ward in any way. Ward is technically far superior, his foot work will see him get in and out with ease against DeGale's very wide stance and DeGale's low work rate suggests he won't be able to out work Ward.
