I always liked Nate as a fighter, but, whilst he makes some good points in the OP's article, he does make some naïve and badly researched statements.

Obviously racism still exists, but to talk about why Mayweather is hated and not mention his personality, choice of opponents and fighting style, smacks of someone who is only looking to further his views on racism in boxing.

Also, for a guy who professes to know his boxing history, to call Max Schmeling a Nazi shows a complete lack of knowledge of boxing history. Schmeling's views on the Nazi party and the help he gave to Jewish people living in Germany during the Nazi era is well documented.

If talking about racism in boxing and the link to the good vs evil narrative that is often used in the build up to certain fights, using Tyson vs Holyfield, two African-Americans, as an example is probably not the best idea.

If Nate is serious about this radio show he wants to host he really needs to get some lessons in proper investigative research and objectivity and not just base all of his opinions on his own limited experiences that could be tainted by his own prejudices.

 

I remember that KO! Peden executed it perfectly, head in the chest to disguise it then BOOM lol, one of my favourites, and not just cause I know the guy.

 

Racism is certainly a factor in boxing, but it's found among people of all colors, and creeds not just one group...

I know who won the fight and I am content. If only Floyd actually WON the fight, I would not hesitate to give him his just due.

As a matter of fact, I had convinced myself that he won despite seeing a Pacquaio victory the day after May 2nd. I was convinced that maybe I didn't know what I was watching.

So, I watched the rematch expecting to see a master class, and then I noticed that Pacquaio was outlanding Mayweather, landing the harder punches, and even hurting Mayweather, while Mayweather was missing so many punches that I thought I didn't catch the first time around.

It was then I realized that Mayweather didn't win the fight.

How can you expect me to lie to myself?

How can you expect me to give a man his due when he clearly lost and lost in the most cowardly way possible?

His own father called him a coward!

This is your victory though. This is the BEST moment of your life.
