Why would i be ****ed off? Are you for real that Tyson can't punch a damn, do you seriously think any knowledgable boxing fan and ****yst will even take their actual encounter in 2002 seriously? If it took the best prime version of Lewis 167 punches, a push and an exhausted Tyson to floor Tyson who was horribly fat, unfit and shot, then anyone will rightfully question what will happen in a prime to prime encounter. As far as Vitali is concerned, again you talk off being neutral, nice about fighters, boxing in general and then make unnecessary, re****ed cheap shots at Vitali? I could care less for Vitali but he was robbed that day and Lewi was not warrior, man enough to rematch him without fear and was shameless enough to use mummy, wify as an excuse. Warriors don't do that. No wonder he is always on the defence every time and is constantly defending himself on Vitali. It is his fault that people are asking these questions when he had the opportunity to finish them off at the time.
Vitali wasn't robbed at all. I saw the fight and he lost, plain and simple. within the rules of the sport. if it were different, I'm sure Vitali would have sued whomever he could to have gotten the decision changed from a loss to a "no contest" for example. And Tyson even though he was younger than Lewis was shot to ****, cause his peak was measured in weeks, not years, which is a damn shame.
Tyson and Lewis had different fighting styles. Tyson's fighting style does not age well while Lewis does. Their age and gaps are irrelevant. Tyson has also fought more fights than Lewis.
Yeah, you can just see the fat oozing out of him.:roll: https://youtu.be/iQeZzlV8X2A?t=187
Again. I think you have me confused with someone who gives a sh it who you like, or what you think.:hi:
Lewis couldnt fight inside, and his footwork against mobile fighters was suspect at best. So hes fighting argueably the two best infighters in history in their respective primes. That holding **** that worked against bums like Rahman Grant Briggs etc would have never worked against Holy and Tyson. Hell shells of their former selves went deep with Lewis at his respective best.
So much sh it in such a short post. Well done. You reckon Lewis was holding all the time in the Rahman fights? Specsavers will have an outlet somewhere near you, don't worry. Now, why would a guy 6' 5", with an 84" wingspan weighing 240 want to be good at infighting, when he is successful at keeping the fight at a distance that suits him? Methinks YDSAB.
LL was a hell of a guy to not take seriously...he was just the best heavyweight of his time, that's all.....as he proved.
What's your definition of deep. I just watched the Tyson - Lewis fight and it wasn't even close to being competitive, the fact Lewis kicked the **** out of Tyson for 8 rounds rather than 3-4 doesn't change that. And Lewis against Holyfield, most would say the first fight should have been 9-3 and the second fight 8-4 (or 7-5), either way that's at least 16 out of 24 rounds to Lewis. Which again, isnt' all that competitive, so your extrapolation skills really need work.
Well Rahman looked like he was at Bay when he was on the canvas with King's crown hanging over him. Looked almost dead for awhile. You really should be watching these fights Savak, they're great. Lewis rematching Rahman, Lewis beating the **** out of both Tyson and Vitali. Pure magic.
Tyson was champion for 4 years until he was beat by Douglas. Lewis title reign also lasted 4 years until he was sparked by Mcall. Oh and Douglas> Mccall. I rank Lewis as a greater fighter than Tyson, but i do feel the gap between the two isnt quite as large as people try to make it out to be. What seperates the two is Lewis win over Vital Lewis beat Holyfield Lewis avenged his losses Lewis retired on a good note and of course Lewis beat Tyson himself. Outside of that i feel their resumes are pretty equal.
Just finished watching the Tyson match, and for a guy who couldn't fight inside, he threw some vicious upper cuts, over and over again. Come to think of it, he also hit Vitali with some vicious upper cuts. You really should watch these fights because if nothing else, they prove you wrong.
Okay, but who did better after that? Lewis or Tyson? I think the history books are gonna say Lewis my friend.
