Jamie McDonnell born 03/31/86 is a 5'10 Bantamweight with a 29-2-1 13 KO's. Born and fighting out of Hatfield, Doncaster, Yorkshire, United Kingdom. Jamie is the first World Champion in the history of Doncaster and is now a two time World Champion after beating the top Asian Prospect in Haymon's stable Tomoki Kameda. I'm still not sure why Jamie was considered such a massive underdog going into the fight he hasn't lost since 2007 and the two losses were damn close borderline draws, and since then he's went on to rack up some pretty impressive wins taking the 0 of Stuart Hall, and beating Stephane Jamoye by MD who at the time only had one SD loss, ironically to Kameda. Also based on their recent successes his wins over Julio Ceja and Abigail Medina are aging quite impressively. He's an exciting volume punching fighter who while isn't the greatest BW by any stretch, he has heart, grit, determination and a strong will. He's persistent as hell and will try his best to grind his opponents down and thankfully his KO's have been picking up as of late, in fact he was on the verge of getting Tomoki out of there in the 12th. So Check Out Jamie, he's proved to the world he's not domestic level and deserves a lot more respect.:ggg:ggg:ggg:ggg

One of the most underrated fighters in the sport.

He's talking about moving up to Jr Featherweight next and taking on Quigg or Frampton. Both are good fights, though I'd rather have him stop at Bantamweight and fight Caballero.

I wish I'd out some vCash on Tete for that match, and I'm still p*ssed I changed my pick as the bell rang for McDonnell over Kameda by SD, but didn't get any credit for in kirk's challenge.:conf

Unlucky mate, sometimes the head rules the gut instinct when it shouldn't.

I thought it was a pick em fight too, I was going back and forth for about a week and finally settled right before the bell rang, I can be very hesitant sometimes.:yep

I figured that was you, I was pretty sure there weren't two of you. Thanks for putting them on Youtube for me to use.:good

I've believed in Carl and Kell for awhile but I've been hesitant to fully believe in Jamie until he faced a very good competitor and well he's fully won me over, I was a fan before but I thought he might have a ceiling well he broke through and he couldn't have chosen a better way to do it.

I always knew McDonnell was top Notch , i dont let the hype from across the pond blind my judgement when i see talent combined with strength. After i watched Kameda`s last fight i knew Mcdonnell could beat him

:goodI thought the same thing Kameda's last performance was very lackluster.
