Not. I think it was a fake ko.

I can never fathom how when a fighter throws a punch at another guys chin and it lands and KO's him, other people come up with the frankly moronic " lucky punch " cliche.

It wasnt a lucky punch because Moorer stuck his chin out right in front of George. Moorer I think is more mad at himself for not listening to his corner. Moorers problem is he actually liked to feel his opponents power and he stood in front of guys flat footed. He didnt need to do any of that. If Tommy Morrison could outrun Foreman, Moorer was ten times the boxer. Moorsion can only be mad at himself for making that mistake. He got too comfortable sitting in the pocket teeing off on George.

It wasn't just one punch. Foreman was softening him up with that jab, especially over the two preceding rounds... which led more than a bit to Moorer losing mobility. Also, he landed that right hand beautifully behind his left jab. It wasn't a 1-2. It was a 1AND.

Foreman spent 9 rounds trying to set that up. I don't believe he deliberately waited that late into the fight... I just think he had trouble landing what he needed to before that moment in the fight. But he succeeding into conning Moorer into thinking he was safe at such close range. There are certain guys, Foreman being one, that you are never safe with at that range, no matter how swollen their faces are, how exhausted they appear to be. You keep a safe distance...or else.

45 year old Foreman using no drugs, against a 27 year old juiced to the gills Michael Moorer. I can not think of a more disgraceful loss.

Luck? yes Michael Moorer had all the luck in the world and drugs to go with that and still he got knocked out, no wonder he is so bitter.

I think Moorer is still shaking the cobwebs of that right hand. Give the lad another eighteen months and you might get some answers.

Apparently it was a fake KO.
Some say that Bob Arum fixed the fight. I think klompton has some of the details.
I suppose Moorer wants to tell all but since it is a criminal conspiracy he can't just come out and admitted it.

But MM wasn't as SMART as Tommy....and I really doubt whether he was in fact, a better boxer than Morrison.

Youre right he wasnt as smart as Tommy (in this fight). Tommy knew Foreman could hurt him, Moorer was too arrogant to think that. Yes Moorer was a far superior boxer to Morrison.

Foreman rose one last time to the occasion,

It was nothing short of great tactics and determination. Moorer was being warned by his corner of exactly what George was doing.

    He did not listen.....

So you disagree when your beloved Lenni still maintains that Mccall and Rahman landed Lucky Punches against him?
