alot of those were not megafights... pac v mosley? lol didnt arum have 3 options for pac and i seem to remember ESB pretty much saying mosley was the least preferred option (marquez was one of the others, not sure on the 3rd)
The worst is the one that promised the most and was hyped most. Of course, all these fights were trash, but Floyd took things to the limit when he told us he would go for an early KO. All he did was KO the entire sport of boxing.
Pacquiao vs Mayweather is still fresh in the mind. Very, very disappointed. Terrible fight. People remember Hagler vs Leonard as a good fight, I didn't think it was so good myself. Not the worst by any stretch, but disappointing. The most disappointed I have ever been, however, was with Duran vs Leonard III. Probably the worst big fight of all time. Truly awful. We should learn to be more wary of fading stars looking for big pay days at the end of their career.
More of a British Mega fight then a international one (and only due to hype) but Haye vs Harrison was a farce.
It depends what perspective you are going at in regard to a Mega fight that turned out to be a garbage fight. Mike Tyson vs Michael Spinks is probably #1 on this list in the sense that it was a True Mega Fight, both guys were undefeated. And it ended suddenly without there ever being a fight. So that one has got to be #1 for anticipation and it being a let down. A lot of people were expecting Spinks to be able to use his boxing skills to go rounds with Tyson and make it a long fight like his 15 round battles with Holmes. Comparing that to Tyson vs Bonecrusher Smith, Smith was running, and there wasn't much action, but still that was something different, we never seen Tyson go to the distance so that was something new at least.
Klitschko-Haye. I didn't expect back and forth exchanges due to their styles, but I did fully expect an emphatic knockout one way or the other (I was rooting for big Wlad).
De la Hoya vs Trinidad. Both were in their primes, one came in weight drained, the other came to run after he got hit a couple of times. Very similar to Mayweather vs Pacquiao. The other selections, the fighters were past it apart from Tyson vs Smith.
