Morales had a longer reach than Jones. And Barrera fought 3 competitive fights with him.

Barrera was a green fighter in the Jones' losses.

Mayweather did not have serious power at the lower weights. He had decent power. Enough to earn respect.

You're mistaken if you think Barrera isn't going to land. That shoulder roll just isn't going to work against that left to the body.

Barrera was a good fighter, but he's not beating Floyd. Floyd is bigger, faster and more talented. Barrera was out boxed by Junior Jones and Marquez.

IMO Barrera's best win and best performance came at 130. He beat Morales and really took it to him the first half of the fight. And that same Morales went on to beat Pacquiao three months later.

    He's a very dangerous 130 pounder.

Tell me was he aggressive against corrales, or was that hust me?

Floyd can win without getting touched up. He can take wide decisions. Name of the game is hit and dont get hit and you dumba§s fans need to accept it.

Neither of those losses came in Barrera's prime as a fighter. I'm more interested in the circa 2000-2004 version of Barrera.

At least 9-3 Mayweather this fight finishes.

People forget just how good Mayweather was at 130. I don't think there's a fighter in history who beats him at that weight.

He was good, but MAB is a massive step up from anyone he's faced at 130.

He was destroyed by Pacquiao in that time frame. Mayweather has beaten top guys when he was green, and when he was past his prime. He's done it when he's been injured and when he's faced adversity. Mayweather can perform under any circumstances. You're describing Barrera as a guy who can only perform under optimal circumstances. The circumstances would not be optimal against Mayweather. Against Mayweather, Barrera would be outgunned in just about every area. He would not be stylistic nightmare for Floyd as there is no stylistic nightmare for Floyd, just styles that make him work harder than as is the case with others.

It's not like he was just slightly better than those he faced. He absolutely obliterated everyone he faced there.

So?? What's your point?? Pac destroyed a prime Barrera.

It happened. Pac has a different style than Floyd.

My point is that he was at his peak at that time according to you and he still got destroyed. Mayweather is a rare talent. I'm not sure how Barrera is going to be a nightmare for him when he's getting destroyed by guys who aren't as good as Mayweather. You mentioned Barrera's left hook to the body would trouble Mayweather. I believe you're way off base there. Oscar, Hatton, and Cotto all had tremendous left hooks and none of them could land that shot on Mayweather.

First of all it's not a consensus that Floyd at his best is better than Pac. That's up for debate.

Hatton, Cotto and Old DLH cannot compare to prime MAB. Them not landing their lefts to the body doesn't mean MAB couldn't. MAB is the best body puncher of the era.

Barrera would have made Floyd uncomfortable for 3 or 4 rounds, Floyd would then adjust, and start to time and pick off Barrera from range.

Floyd is nowhere near TBE, and is a an embarrassment outside of the ring, but he's a great fighter and would not have struggled against any version of Barrera.
