How was Kessler the man? He hadnt beaten a top rated SMW for around 3 years when Ward fought him, was rusty, past best, and an unwell double vision suffering fighter. The Ring mag even said before he fought Ward that he hasnt been the same since the Calzaghe loss

Froch was far from faded & went on after that loss to ward to have a even stronger run than ward during that time & cement his place as a top 5 goat smw & a hof'er.

Froch was on a faitigued run of having fought away 5 out of his last 6 fights and was a faded fighter even if producing good results.
Froch lost to the faded version of Kessler coming off a loss, which highlights that the division isnt what it had been years previously.
Look at Frochs run, a fight with Pascal (not a top SMW), that some felt he lost, a come from behind win over Taylor (not a top SMW) where he was behind in the last, a win over Dirrell (not a top SMW) some felt he lost, a loss to faded Kessler coming off a loss, a win over Abraham coming off a loss and a win over older, faded G Johnson (not a top SMW) some felt he lost.

Consider this
For Froch to face the champ Ward, he had to beat old faded boiled down G Johnson to get the shot, where he won a close decision.
For Sheika to face the champ Calzaghe, he had to beat prime SMW Johnson, where he won a close decision.

Thats how the division has dropped, the names are known but thats the difference in standard in my opinion

Dawson was top 10 p4p when ward beat him & dawson called him out on tv & been claiming he was the best lhw & smw in the world & could make the weight with ease.

I dont know about Dawson being P4P rated (which is only someones opinion), as he had lost to Pascal, but In fact Dawsons best win was an older version of Hopkins that Calzaghe had already beaten

The schooling for Pablo here must be difficult

Ottke was a aight but he would've gotten badly embarrassed & exposed had he fought in a talent rich pool like the super 6 let alone a super 6 during his time. He is no different than abraham except abraham fought some of the most accomplished or talented smw ever back to back to back.

You noted Green for a win for Ward saying Ottke would be embarrassed, but Green was stopped by old G Johnson who Ottke beat when prime atsch. This is what I mean about the drop in level. Look at how an old Brahmer is a top LHW today but in his prime lost to end of career Veit who Calzaghe beat

I don't care much about accomplishments at 1 weight class unless that weight class was stacked with extremely talented fighters or future hof'er. Johnson was trash at 168 & ottke barely beat him no props. His accomplishments is very suspect.
