Kovalev who is the king at 175 and is a very hard puncher is speaking very highly of GGG

Golovkin had kovalev out on his feet in sparring and had him down abel has tapes :yep

They are friends, so maybe Sergey is a bit too generous here. GGG has crazy power but is he hitting harder than Kovalev?

I dont see GGG making 190lbs guys like Pascal, Cleverly and Hopkins do a stanky leg like Kovalev did...

Possibly. There's probably not a huge difference between them in punching power.

LOL maybe Golovkin has been playing us all along. Sandbagging punches?!???

They do vary in speed, he mixes them up as part of his strategy (not to be predictable, I imagine).

...and by "sharp", I think Sergey wanted to say Golovkin is a very accurate puncher. Lemieux's heavy shots for example are not "sharp", they're just a bit heavy and you hear it on tv. Bet you couldn't hear (on tv) the liver shot that KO'ed Macklin.

I wouldnt doubt it. Thing is kovalev has faster hands and has better form when he punches.

    P4P this is probably true

But in real terms its impossible

Kovalev outweighs him by what 30lbs and hits like a wrecking ball himself

And GGG aint got nuttin on that brutal pelvic thrust

GGG will never get the respect his talent and natural gifts deserve.

If he fought Froch and knocked him out his haters would say "Froch was old, past his best, been in too many wars and talking retirement".

If GGG fought Ward at 168 and knocked him out the haters would say "Ward couldn't make 168 for Paul Smith, he obviously couldn't do 168 anymore, he was weight drained and way too inactive over recent years".

If GGG batters Cotto or Canelo then it would be "They are small, GGG needed every advantage to win".

GGG simply can't do right for the people that hate him, I'm starting to question if GGG can beat anybody and get any sort of genuine praise from the people who have already made their minds up they don't like him.
