That's a good question. I think if TH boxes MM he wins even tho MM was a grat boxer... Nobody ever outboxed Hearns, not even Leonard. If he went for MM like how he went for Hagler I think he'd get the stoppage.

I see it as Hearns winning 7 outta 10

Thomas probably edges Mike, something like 8-7, or 9-6.A draw is not entirely out of the question, but I think Hearns' big fight experience would edge McCallum out.

Yeah, Mike was certainly low/risk award, and Duran probably fancied his chances to beat Tommy. Which perhaps would have set him up for a big money rematch with Hagler. Facing McCallum wouldn't really take him anywhere - win or lose.

I'd say Kalambay was better than all the MWs Hagler lost to. The question is rather if Kalambay was better than anyone Hagler beat.

And McCallum "just" beat Graham as much as Hagler "just" beat Duran and "drew" with Antuofermo.

EDIT: And around the same age that Leonard was getting schooled by Norris, McCallum outclassed Watson and gave Toney all he could handle.

I lean to McCallum, you can't write Hearns speed, skill and power off but I fancy McCallum to break him down over the rounds.

I seriously believe you have seen less than nothing of McCallum fighting. No one looked even close to stopping Mike in 55 fights, including guys who hit as hard if not harder than Tommy, yet you reckon if he went for M. M. he'd get the stoppage.

    Hmmm, strange.

Chances are far more likely Hearns would meet exactly the same fate if he stood and had a shoot out with the Jamaican.

If you're referring to Julian Jackson, forget about it! Hearns was in a different league... same power, but a much better boxer with it. What Hearns did to Duran he coulda done the same to Mike.

Make your mind up. Which are you going for now. Out boxing or out shooting. Jackson hit way harder than Tommy, and he nailed MM with shots in the first round and FUK ALL happened. Tommy couldn't even move Barkley ffs, and you think he is gonna stop McCallum in a shoot out. And that is all that would happen if Hearns, Hagler, Leonard, Toney, or even Jones Jr stood and traded with a prime McCallum. Tommy's much vaunted power was highly over rated above Welter where he was a killer, but look how he got on at 160 and above unless he was knocking over stiffs. Points wins, or defeats

I don't give a sh it who they are, from 154 - 175, if you want to beat McCallum you have got to out box him, which was never easy until he was in his late 30's.
