Thurman by brutal and embarrassing KO in the early rounds. Khan has a glass chin, glass neck, glass brain and a glass **** stuck up his glass ass.
He had him stumbling around the ring in full retreat. He just couldn't land that one flush shot on his glass chin or glass neck that was needed to finish him off.
Like a Shawn Porter or Maidana? :think. My first choice would be Brook, but I think Kell would probably be favoured (slightly) to beat Thurman. Tim Bradley may have a decent chance of beating Thurman, but not by stoppage. Mayweather and Pacquiao wont end up fighting Keith, so that rules them out. So that only really leaves Porter or Maidana at present who could fit the criteria (underdogs who could possibly ko/tko Thurman) . Of course, it may transpire that Thurman proves to be the best of them all... Only time will tell.
I'm no Broner fan, but Broner took waaaay more flush power shots from Maidana than Khan did. Had Khan taken half as many he wouldn't only be off his feet, he'd be knocked out cold. Broner's chin/neck>>>>>>>>>Khan's. Case closed.
I can't really argue with that because MM does look a much improved fighter... But then so does King Khan. I would actually like to see those two fight again. If Amir were able to beat MM again, it would be a most significant victory that even King Khan's haters would have to be impressed with.
Yeah. Not sure he would be a favorite over Brook. In USA he would, in UK he wouldn't similar to DeGale/ Dirrell from the weekend. I personally think Brook stops him. I was thinking along the lines of Porter/ Brandon Rios type guys might clip him early and finish him off.
Erm no he didn't. Broner was down from grazing shot and chicken dancing back to his feet. Then he also led on the floor trying to quit after being pushed by Maidna's head. Plus Broner was at his peak weight, whereas Khan was drained. Khan's chin >>>> Broner's chin. It's irrefutable.
So Amir earns criticism for not allowing Maidana to drop him, but Broner gets a pass for getting dropped twice and being beat up so badly he started crying whilst needing help to walk to his dressing room? Thats just bollox. Its not Khan's fault that he is a superior boxer to Broner. Hell, Broner called Khan out then sh it himself when Amir offered to cancel the Algieri fight and fight Broner. And he is insisting that Porter has to weigh in twice. But Broners now some iron chinned warrior!! GTFOH.
I disagree. I think Khan beats him easily this time. Bare in mind the changes made- Maidana tries to box more- which ain't gonna help him vs. Khan Khan has added the jab and grab to his technique- and look how well that worked for Alexander I also question now Maidana has had the big paydays, does he have the same hunger for the sport. Check out the increasingly erratic outfits he was wearing in the build up to the 2nd Mayweather fight. There hasn't been a peak from Maidana since, but look how out of shape he is here at the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight: [YT]4lsN4EZC2LA[/YT]
Yeah, that's why I went for Porter and Maidana (I considered Rios, but I think he's overrated at world level. Chaves was beating him, he went 2-1 with Alvardo. And Manny hammered him. Other than that he has fought no one at genuine world level).
Broner took a vicious beating in that fight. Go back and watch it again if you don't remember. He was a stationary target while Khan literally ran away for a good portion of his fight with Maidana. Also, at this "peak weight" nonsense. Broner beat exactly one guy at WW and went back down to 140 in his very next fight after Maidana. Two fights prior to that he was a lightweight, FFS. Why are you trying to make **** up? Khan was also knocked out by Prescott and Garcia (a guy who couldn't even KO Zab Judah, a guy who people on this site love to call "glass chinned"). If Broner's chin is glass then Khan's chin is blown glass, my friend.
