Lennox Lewis who refers to himself in the 3rd person isn't telling the truth. Mendoza thinks Tyson was old, shot, broke, and had but one good round of fighting in him. Why not fight Tyson after he defeated Bruno in the 1990's?

But Lewis was in his prime. Tyson was shot.

Simple. Because Tyson paid Lewis step aside money to fight the supposedly " easy " Holyfield in 96 instead. He even further compounded this blatant duck by surrendering his WBA belt.

3 months short of his 37th birthday Lewis was NOT in his prime. Don't be so stupid.

Age had little to do with it. Lennox was at the tail end of prime.

Doesn't really matter in my book.

The best version of Lewis beats the best version of Tyson.

And d\Desire Washington had a long history of false **** accusations.

She knew why she was going to his room alone in the wee hours.

He wasn't really but he aged better and wasn't a drug addict like Tyson

Utter bull****, Tyson is a ****** and you're just as depraved in defending a ******. The ignorant fanboys that get taken in by the Tyson propaganda that he was innocent haven't read the overwhelming evidence against him, some not even aloud into the trial. The defense that a woman being alone with a man is a valid reason for him to r@pe her is disgusting.

Boxers like Ali, Holmes, Lewis are able to have longer careers and primes because of their conservative, low work rate boxing styles.

Sluggers, Swarmers, Brawlers, Punchers with high work rate styles like Marciano, Frazier, Dempsey, Henry Armstrong, Tyson were all declining by the time they reached 30 and most had more or less retired upon reaching 32.

Just because Lewis was 1 year older to Tyson has very little meaning.

Regardless of his history with women, in a fair and just society you are prosecuted on the specific facts of each specific case and sorry to say as far as the Desiree Washington case goes, there were too many inconsistencies, loop holes and evidence which could have exonerated Tyson which was ignored.

Popular word has it that it was a set up masterminded by Don King as Tyson was contemplating leaving him for another manager in Harold Smith

The fact Lewis still to this day has to convince the public and people in general over his victory over Tyson tells everything.

I would agree, IF he r@ped her.

I'm not going to redo the trial here, but you don't KNOW what happened, and neither do I.

No-one knows except for Mike and Desire.

What I DO know is that the girl had made similar false accusations in the past.

She told the court that Mike made ***ual advances in the Limo, but she still went to his room.

She got a seven figure settlement in a subsequent civil suit.

You have your take and I have mine. We'll leave it there.

I'm certainly not denying that people wanted to see Tyson fight Lewis.

You're overrating the Golota win a bit.

    20 months is 20 months.
The statement that it's "nothing in boxing" can be disproved by hundreds of examples through history.
Tyson was totally off the rails during that time too, walking around fat, smoking weed, taking cocaine, acting crazy.

I can. I don't know about you, can you even see Danny Williams beating Tyson ?

    Against who ?
Golota's all you've got. A weak minded fighter who lost all the big ones up to that point in time.

Julius Francis ? Lou Savarese ? Brian Nielsen ? Clifford Etienne ?

Holyfield was mixing with better company.

You're seriously deluded if you think a day has gone by since 1996 on which Holyfield could not beat Tyson ! :deal

Tyson was being extremely one dimensional in the Golatta fight with his one shot to the head strategy. He was looking tired, weary and out of gas by the second round. Heck Golata if he had hung around longer might have even fought back but for some wierd reason he quit on his stool.

Tyson looked so shot and spent against Brian Nielsen, horribly fat, slow. I agree, he should not have been given any title shot, he got it purely based on his name and the fact Lewis desperately wanted the name on his legacy.

I agree with you here. Tyson's fights from 1999 onwards were just terrible, absolute bums.

That Etienne punch was a pure lucky punch. He was swinging wildly.

If you think Tyson ****d that girl I have a bridge to sell you. He was railroaded plain and simple. There was a lot of evidence that never made it to trial and Don King had a tax attorney handling the case. The whole thing was ridiculous. Tyson may have been a lot of things but I have no doubt in my mind he didn't **** that gold digger.
