Gonzalez and Ward deserve a mention. Rigo's skillset is very specific, he's the best at what he does but he doesn't have a lot of dimensions to his game. I'd go Loma, Gonzalez, Ward, then Rigo.

Yeah, I forgot to mention Gonzalez but skillwise I think he's not on the level of Rigo and Loma.

While I disagree with the OP...

The Salido fight was a farce.
Would be like Ward agreeing to fight Huck at 185lbs then Huck playing him by showing up on weigh in @190 rehydrated to 210.

And STILL Ward hangs in an wins 5 rds nearly KHTFO n the end.

    As for the OP....
I think Loma might have the greater skills POTENTIALLY..... BUT.....

As for now...he's lacking in sitting on his punches. Killer instinct and time mgmt.
He doesn't know when to push the pace, doesn't always fight bell to bell and he doesn't recognize when he's got someone ready to go.

Seems he's content to win 2 minutes of a rd and then play it safe.

So DEFINITELY NO.....NOT the best skills in boxing.

What part of Rigo's skillset is lacking?

The scary thing about Lomachenko is that he's only going to get even better as he gains more pro experience.

    Or...even scarier...

He could outgrow 126 and realize his lack of finishing skills let Mikey Garcia back into the fight and find himself getting KTFO

Actually, Lomachenko has already improved. Compare him in his debut fight against Ramirez to him in his fight against Piriyapino. His punches are less wide, and more fluid in the Piriyapino fight, and his head movement is much better.

He's definitely improved and it's apparent, he's less herky jerky nowadays, smoother, better, more controlled.

Do you think Lomachenko should keep his father as his trainer, or should he change? And if so, who would be ideal for him?

I'd choose a trainer who can help him develop an inside game.
