I'll give it to him, you can't argue with the fights PBC has been putting out there. hopefully he keeps this up.

PBC has had the worst schedule of all. Enjoying all the other shows more.

I really wanted this to do well.

Haymon is a crook who arranged a clearly fixed fight between Broner and John Molina. Haymon has no chin. NONE

 

I gave him credit for some of the early fights, but Guerrero/Martinez and the proposed Malignaggi fights were utterly awful.

I give him credit that he's keeping his fighters more busy, but I'll wait to make a judgement until a little longer. I don't like how he ignores the weight classes, puts fights in bad venues (Broner/Porter in NV, Lara/Rodriguez in IL), and seems to always pander to the A sides (Garcia and Broner) when it comes to contracted weights.

I might just be old fashioned, but I've enjoyed more of what HBO has put forth this year than a lot of the PBC cards.

Ratings keep dropping for PBC, with the recent Dirrell-Degale fight doing a 0.85 rating which is almost unheard of on free tv.

Idk what the end goal is, but considering the fact that they buy the slots, and for the most part only advertise their fighters during commercials, they have to be hemorrhaging money at this point.

At the end of the day, I'm a boxing fan and am enjoying the shows, but it doesn't look good for them so far.

Also just as an aside, the latest ufc on fox card did damn near 3 million views, yet we're always talking sh*t about how he ufc is a fad and fading away. At least HBO seems to be doing well all things considering.

 

based off of these numbers, I'm guessing Dirrell vs Degale had between 1.2 and 1.3 million viewers

 

How though, 0.85 is the lowest overnight rating they have had yet.

Apparently the total rating will come out later this week, but I doubt it's much over 1.0 which is really bad for free tv especially on a huge network like cbs

 

The two other PBC cards that came on around that time on a Saturday were the 2 cards on CBS. The first one did a 1.1 rating with 1.6 million viewers. The second did .9 rating with 1.4 million viewers.

If I take 1.6 million/1.1%= 145.45 million
Then I take 1.4 million/.09% = 155.55 million

multiply the average of those two 150 million by .085% and you get 1.275 million viewers

am I wrong?
