I completely disagree. Cotto is as popular as he is because of what he's already done and because he has a huge, dedicated Puerto Rican following. This fight is big now because of who these guys are and how much their respective fan bases love them, not because people feel it's the best fight that can be made. It will lose a little of its market if GGG beats Cotto first but it will still be huge. There are almost 6 million Puerto Ricans living in the continental US, they aren't going to suddenly not tune into a classic Mexico/Puerto Rico rivalry fight simply because their man lost a fight.

I just hate how he's "the man" and never even had or will have to prove it against the actual best middleweight in the world, he's given a free pass on this, if people just acknowledged Cotto for what he is, which is a 154 lber who won his title against a completely shot injured fighter I wouldn't have a problem with it.

The mere thought of GGG-Cotto keeps buckdacious up at night trembling under the covers. That match is the stuff of Nightmares for him, because you know exactly what will happen to him when he sets foot in the ring with Golovkin, he will be brutally stopped and have his career ended. And fortunately for you buck Cotto knows that too, which is why he'll swerve GGG like the plague. So there's nothing for you to worry about.

Unlike Cotto, Canelo is a real man and will fight GGG eventually.:deal Ater he stops Cotto just as brutally as he did Kirkland.

So why you blaming Cotto for Martinez ducking GGG!?!?!

Thats what i dont get it. Everybody wants to be made because Cotto won. Martinez tried to pick on a little fighter and got his ass whooped!! THATS HIS FAULT!!

Cotto is fighting a MW bro, top 5 at that :good:good

I don't think that Cotto is loved like Trinidad was

If they don't think Cotto is in form, they won't pay to see him get beaten by Mexican star

First off nothing keeps me trembling expect for my girls BJ's at night :hi:

2nd Cotto-GGG would be a classic. I learn towards Cotto because we just dont know whats gonna happen when GGG fights somebody world class. Hes fought some good guys but nobody like Cotto.

3rd Canelo doesnt brutally stop Cotto. I love some Canelo too but thats a toss up. Cotto would be the hardest puncher Canelo has ever fought. think of a little bit of Mayweather and Lara (meaning wont just stand there like Kirkland and Angulo) with power then Canelo has trouble. I think its an all time classic that could have 3 fights if you ask me.

Cotto-Canelo will do 1.5 with a loss or without.

Yeah but him against Martinez didn't even do that great

That was a really good fight on paper but it's sales were disappointing

Furthermore, most people thought Cotto was going to get trashed in that fight

People didn't really believe that Cotto was in form anymore and the same will be the case if Cotto gets knocked out cold by Golovkin

People just won't think that Cotto will be a match for Canelo

You really need to take a look at Cotto's viewership history. Yes PPV is a different animal, but Cotto had the most watched Cable fight of 2013 when he fought Delvin f*cking Rodriguez coming off the back of the FMJ and Trout losses. His Puerto Rican fan base is seriously dedicated.
