Do you know the true reason of the weight divisions ?
    More champions more money.

    Grow up ffs.

According to some Jones Jr is an ATG, and he looked good on film too, but not when Tarver, Johnson, and Lebedev sparked him. The fact that Moore and Charles were ATG's is not up for discussion, they simply weren't by the time Marciano got to them.

    Why wouldn't he?

No one had thought of it before the 60's, so it is feasible he could have thought of it no matter when he was born.

In the 70's there were not 17 divisions as there are today, I think there was still only the 8.

I think lots of man said before the Ali-Foreman or the Ali-Young
"No way these weak men can beat the mighty Foreman."
And what happened ? These humiliated the superhuman.
At least Marciano won his every fight.
The biggest difference George father was a faded Ali ko victim but Marciano could destroy a 37 years old Louis at least.

Ali rope a doped Foreman by letting him punch himself out. That would be suicide for Marciano. Young out boxed Foreman. Something Marciano didn't even know how to do, much less execute it.

Foreman by brutal KO inside 3 rounds.

Foreman avoided the punchers like Quarry and Bonavena and Quarry was successful against the big slow punching guys like Lyle,Foster and Shavers...Lyle had George seriously hurt and down 2 times and wobbled bad the Ref could have stopped it without much of a holla...We all know George could hit but do we really know how well he takes a few of Marciano's right hands

Rocky is one of the very best ever.

Make a man fight him at 190 pounds or less and I struggle to see anyone emerging victorious.

I know a lot of people rate Dempsey as superior and Holyfield as superior but for me Rocky was an animal with an incredible mixture of determination, power and chin. He's one of the most unbeatable fighters in history imo. Maybe Jones is quick enough to potshot to victory but even that isn't a hugely likely outcome.

That being said Rocky is wholly unproven against proper Heavyweights. His whole career could have been in the CW division. Put him up against the best 70s have to offer and we need a whole deal of conjecture based on very little.

He beats Frazier, I'm confident there. But Foreman, Ali, Norton, Holmes, these guys have a weight advantage such that he never once overcame, would it be the difference? I don't know for definite but pit Floyd against Kovalev today and I know what outcome I'm expecting.

One of the best ever to lace em up p4p. But that doesn't mean he can beat people much bigger, heavier and stronger than he.

foreman and ali would keep him titleless.

frazier might beat him too, hard to call, rock might win, this is marcianos best chance of a title win.
