probably Hearns on points if he can keep it on the outside. He wont score a knockout though as he did against all those other faded welterweights
Floyd wouldnt have been able to hurt Tommy but Tommy would have problems landing his right hand on Floyd. He had problems landing clean on Leonard and Floyd is unbeaten to his point. Don't forget, this man is black
yeah, I don't buy it either. These people don't like to give tough matchups much thought They said the same thing when Leonard was matched up with Norris newer, and more established fighters tend to be much more difficult to fend off. I still remember the problems Tommy had with Barkley who was only fringe contender status, and wound up getting smoked Floyd is 38 and has yet to take his first loss, and there WAS the fight with Harold Weston who was thumbed just after taking charge of the fight so I give FLoyd a chance
There is a reason Barkley ended up fighting at Heavyweight. ( it might have something to do with the fact that he is a fuking lot bigger than both Tommy and especially Mayweather. ) By the way, Hearns could take guys out with either hand, not just his right.
Well like the poster who watched Benetiz vs Hearns, and Mayweather vs Oscar, I have eyes, too bad you're too ****ing lazy to watch a couple of fights before popping off. What you say the coconscious on this thread it that Mayweather either losses by a comfortable decision or gets TFKO? 75%? The fact is as far as I'm concerned I'm discussing boxing with a kid, worse a kid who's too ****ing lazy to actually watch fights. So this is the end of the conversation as far as I'm concerned, until you at least decide to put forth some effort in actually watching Benitez fight.
Hearns would dominate from distance, like he did early against Leonard. Floyd doesn't have the power to turn the fight around like Leonard did, though, and isn't aggressive enough to kayo Hearns through attrition. Floyd would take cover on the ropes and try to suck the life out of the fight, but Hearns would land often enough for a points victory.
Thats about right. As some have said we know Hearns can't possibly lose. The interesting part is whether or not he can KO him. My contention is Mayweather has NEVER faced anyone who can hit that hard, and that fast from the distance Tommy launches punches from. Punches that can drop fighters or take them out from either hand. So I go Hearns by KO, and early, due to Mayweather always needing a few rounds to size up his opponents.
Hearns by decision. If Floyd gets brave, he would get stopped. But we all know Floyd would not get brave
That's pretty much how I see it too. No fighter on the planet can stop every punch thrown and it wouldn't take many punches getting through to hurt Floyd. One good one, might very well be the being of the end.
do people genuinely believe this? dlh landed barely any clean shots in that fight. floyd was a clear winner.
