there is no comparison, many is way higher since he is an atg.

calzaghe is a backdoor hofer who gets in for having lots of defences but they are largely fake defences, without a wassen title he'd have never clocked up 21 defences.

I don't understand how ppl say it's not even close. Of course it's close.

I have Pac somewhere in the top 30. Calz somewhere in the top 50.

not even close of course. calzaghe hid in an inferior division with an inferior title for 10 years.

pacman is multidivision, multidefending atg and hofer facing.

if joe had faced more and got beaten up a few times he'd rate higher than he does, but he chose to hide and fight weaklings in order to manufacture a zero loss record.

Calzaghe was pretty good, for sure.

But you'd have to be totally clueless to think he has a better legacy than Pacquiao.

In all seriousness I doubt Calzaghe breaks the top 100. And that's not 'hate' or whatever, that's just being objective. He had a decent career but he didn't do enough. Hall of Famer for sure, though.

Pacquiao - 8 division champion, beat Barrera, Marquez, Morales, De La Hoya, Hatton, Cotto, Mosley, Margarito and Bradley. Even the many of the lesser fighters on his resume like Larios, Rios, Solis, Velazquez, Julio, ledwaba etc p*ss all over Calzaghe resume.

I doubt even bailey would try and spin an argument for Calzaghe being ranked higher.

exactly not even close to a top 100. hof no doubt, but not even close to being one of the best we've seen, his best wins are men close to their 40's, or ones that are in their 40's. Kessler, and Eubank are both good names but not ones that make you an atg.
