Well, Virgil just confirmed that he can.

So let's hope he stays at 68.

I want to see an ideal Ward.

Because Kovalev has much work to do at LHW

Work that he likely won't be able to do

He hasn't beaten Stevenson yet for LHW supremacy and Beterbiev would certainly do a job on him

Ward probably schools everyone at SMW and Golovkin probably KO's everyone at MW

    Thats the difference

Ward has loads of work at SMW, DeGale/Froch 2/Jack/Groves/StieAbra winner.

    Stop bsing!!! :deal

There are weight divisions for a reason. Saying he "probably" schools them doesn't mean jack. He has to do it.

Golovkin is 33 years old, he simply can't hang around middleweight forever waiting for either Cotto or Canelo to fight him (that may never happen), so he is simply seeking a way to maximise his earnings, that's the reality of boxing?

You could well have a point. If Ward can beat new fighters he may be able to get out from the shadow Calzaghe still casts over the SMW division.
Maybe after Ward has fought Smith, he will drop back if he can make weight safely.
GGG really needs the big MW fights like Quillin, which is a fight I could see going either way

one of the few times I agree with MVC!, the only reason a fighter should move out of his comfort zone and change weight class is a big money fight
