Okay well that's a pretty irrelevant point and unlikely anyway. Could go into any 'vs' thread and claim one fighter gets brain damage, it's a risk of the sport, pointless comment.

What assumptions have I made? Surely you have to make assumptions in a fantasy match up?

Exactly what you said Porter would do under your previous alt. If Brook was to school Provo, you'd also come back under another username and claim robbery

Agreed on all points except the knowledgeable poster. He doesn't seem to know how mandatories work and has no idea that boxing is a business.

Haha. He always claims victory when he's been owned. His very first post under his current alt was to claim Brook v Porter was a robbery so he clearly has little idea what a victory is.

Being an African American who lives in his mums cellar who pretends to be rich and lives in Japan because Brook left his previous alt untenable is worse ellerbe the alt.

Go ahead claim a victory now. I need a good laugh

What's wrong with Brook's last two opponents given the circumstances?

Pretty much. A better fight would be Provo vs Porter.

To be fair hans you're right, given the stabbing they're not bad choices, hopefully next fight will be a big name.

Brook beat Porter who's better than Provo. Brook wins.

Despite being a Khan fan, I really don't get the stick Brook gets for fighting his mandatory (Dan) and the nunber 4 contender (Gavin). Yes, those ratings are an absolute disgrace, but I blame the IBF for that, not Kell.

The current IBF Welterweight rankings are as follows:

    1. Vacant (previously occupied by Jo Jo Dan)
    2. Vacant (previously occupied by Tim Bradley.
    3. Amir
    4. Gavin
    5. Porter
    6. Chaves
    7. Ali
    8. Alexander
    9. Bizier
    10. Jo Jo Dan.

They are an absolute joke! But I once again reiterate, is that Kell Brook's fault or the IBF's?

Kell took his mando (Dan) so that his voluntary could be Khan. Amir chose to go in a different direction so Kell takes a stay busy fight agaist the number 4 Gavin and thus eliminating Gavin from the possibility of being the next mandatory, which was possible.

Out of the truly elite welterweights, who was available? Floyd or Manny? No! Bradley? Yes, but let's be real here, who wants to take Bradley for a voluntary on a British ppv card? Tim is far too high risk/low reward for a hastily cobbled together UK ppv voluntary at this stage of Kell's reign. JMM was not available, nor was Keith Thurman, who was injured at the time of Kell announcing the Gavin fight (incredibly Keith is not ranked in ANY of the alphabet rankings top ten!!! I'm sure you guys will struggle to comprehend this as much as I did when I checked the rankings, as I found it to be nothing short of absolutely criminal). Maidana is not looking like he is coming back, so he was out of the equation. Which left Guerrero (who got hammered by Thurman in his last fight) and Alexander (who got utterly dominated by Amir). Rios is overrated and not a marquee name (though he would have been a big step up from Gavin) so really, people are ragging on Kell for fighting his number 4 and getting him out of the way instead of Rios (who is possibly Kell's next opponent). If Amir had of took the Brook fight, no-one would have criticised Kell in the least, would they?

Blame the IBF for their disgraceful and embarrassing rankings, but Kell is entitled to some slack imo.

To be fair Hans mate, I reflected on the evisceration that I put on him yesterday and in a rare moment of weakness, I did infact charitably (grossly) exaggerate his knowledge and posting prowess. My sole motivation was to help him recover some self esteem.

Don't worry mate, I shan't do it again, I promise (especially when its that ungrateful, bin dwelling, Inbetweener loving, lying cu nt, thats in the cross hairs).

You know what Hans mate, call me a controversial bast ad, but considering the IBF's welterweight rankings, I APPLAUD Brook for taking the Gavin fight!! Say Brook took someone other than Gavin as his voluntary and won. Well, the fact that Amir would not act upon his mando status would probably have left Gavin as Brook's next Mando!! This way Kell takes Gavin out of the equation in a stay busy fight!! And yet people slag Kell off for that!!

I suppose Kell should have took Collazo, like Thurman is.. But of course, had Kell took Collazo, that oddball hypocrite ellerbe would have started multiple threads and raised his own bp to assured CVA levels, whereas now the ignorant moron states that he heap huge praise upon Thurman if he stops a guy who Amir dropped three times a year ago (a guy who ellerbe slated Amir for fighting last year) !!
