A big advantage for GGG if he fights Froch

Totally agree. The size difference is huge. Actually, the size difference is bigger than I have seen in a while. The outcome is unpredictable but if GGG can win this, its because his skillset not the power.

Numerous posts abot what happens when GGG lands on Froch, yet nobody asking the same questions of GGG's chin.

I think GGG and his loyal band of halfwits will be shocked at how heavy handed Froch is.

 

Froch likes guys who come to him. He won't have to go searching to find Golovkin like with Ward/Dirrell. This would be a toe-to-toe war.

I've seen quite a lot of people saying Froch will or should fight GGG the same way he fought Abraham therefore offensive footwork could be important for GGG.

You could possibly be under rating GGG.

GGG is very good at cutting the ring off and hunting guys down, it's not easy to outbox him from range. On top of that Froch isn't the quickest or most skillfull and he doesn't have the greatest defence either. GGG outboxed an equally tall, equally rangy, quick skillfull fighter in Andre Dirrell as an amateur. Froch and Dirrell are different but it shows that GGG can outbox taller guys with longer reaches.

 

Difference in reach is quite big. Difference in height is significant but nothing out of the ordinary. Difference in weight will probably be minimal.

 

I think the difference in reach will be somewhat nullified by Golovkin's timing / distance control. That said, I don't think we'll see either guy on the ropes very much.

This fight is about who has the stonger chin because they will both land.the term hit and don't get hit does not apply here...if GGG lands 2 punches on froch and backs froch up then we will know it will be just a matter of time.froch is a warrior but GGG is just to stong for anyone at 154-168

 

yeah, it'll also be interesting to see ggg in a fight where he has to use his defence more. this will open much more cagily (?) than most expect.

 

Honestly I think a good bit of the fight depends on whether or not GGG's elite jab makes its reappearance in combination with his footwork.

He has been showing it less of late. Maybe its because the opponents were so overmatched, but that kind of thing can be habit forming.

If GGG uses he footwork and jab to avoid unfavorable angles and control the fight I think he can UD Froch. If he thinks he can outpunch Froch in a firefight , I think that may go poorly for him.
