It really makes me wonder. From Ledwaba to Cotto was the Manny that I know and remember. My favorite fighter ever and probably always will be.

Let's look at what he did. He had 10 title fights at 122 and stopped 9 of his opponents.

At 126 he stopped peak Barrera. He fought a draw with Marquez at his best (actually won, judges error). Both of these opponents were prime ATG's and he had the courage to move up in weight and fight them and give it his all.

At 130 he fought peak Morales and was on the receiving end of Terrible's Last Stand. It was a 115-113 loss and both guys gave everything they had. Both ATG's having the courage to face each other. And then he beats prime Marquez again. Again showing the courage to face him again.

At the higher weights he had no business being there, but he still decided to face and destroy Hatton and Cotto at their best.

It makes me wonder. All the haters going on about his last 5 years. How much does the guy have to give to boxing? He's already done everything there is to do. By my count he faced 3 all time great fighters at their best. And Marquez twice.

From 122 up to 147 he faced the very best fighter there was at the division. And didn't wait them out until they were declined. And he took on some seriously stacked divisions. 126-130 was brutal. The competition at that time was incredible.

So when does it end for you guys? Let it go.

Yes he shouldn't be at 147. But the point is he's done everything there is to do.

Why do they STILL demand more?

Finding out that his punch out put dropped 25% after he finally started doing stringent after years of refusal was the last straw for me. So not only does it look obvious he was a cheat but, he also catch weighted many fighters and caught them at the right times, the guy's a total bum. Actually, he had to start fishing the bottom once he started stringent testing just to stick around long enough for the Floyd fight, people can think what they want about him, but I won't be fooled again ever about this "guy"

All these guys trashing Pacquiao's last five years. Saying he hasn't accomplished much since then. Is cherrypicking since then. Is ducking Floyd since then. Hasn't knocked anyone out since then. Doesn't care about boxing anymore. Is more concerned about his political career now.

Let it all go. He could have retired after the Cotto fight. By that time everything there was to do he did. Save for the Bradley fights who was the top 140 pounder in the world.

Okay, fine. That doesn't make them wrong about the last 5 years though.

:yep Pac is held at a high standard even if Pac dominates a fighter people say its rubbish they want knockouts every time he fights

if Pac doesn't knock out his opponent people say its not the best performance

if Mayweather wins a boring d and s****es past its a amazing performance

Mayweather can dominate a guy and people would not keep going on for the ko:hi:

You're ignorant. He went up in weight to fight Barrera, Marquez, Morales and Cotto. There's nothing else to do. It's all been done.

I'm ignorant yet you are the one who in no way addressed what I said. If he were cheating than it's to see how accomplished going up winning good fights and so it doesn't matter. Performance dropped off big time after coinciding with stringent testing, and even considering he were fighting far lesser comp, it's about as clear day, you're the ignorant one.

I'm hoping Pac will come clean and admit that the cuts from the third Marquez fight will never heal and Robert will never receive the permits to build the 40,000 person stadium.

    That's not true at all.

He completely bypassed the lightweight division after beating the WORSE titleholder in the division in David Diaz. And last time I checked, he never did anything at 140 as well.

What he did south of LW is very impressive though and I rate those wins much higher than his catchweight fights against drained welters/super welterweights. It's just the honest truth, the idea that he took on the best fighters at WW/JWW/LW is completely absurd. He's still an ATG fighter, no doubt.

Nope. You're still being ignorant. His performance declined even with far lesser comp because of circumstances. He started declining after the Cotto fight. He had been through many wars. He was 31. He was an offensive fighter. He was a natural 126 pounder fighting at 147+

Roids didn't have anything to do with it.

Partially true. Hatton was a top 2 140 pounder. Bradley was the best and he fought him at 147, but Bradley was bigger.

126-130 had the better fighters. Manny can't control that 140+ didn't have the same level of competition.
