What would Khan do? Khan would forced to be the aggressor, and Floyd would trap him all night. I predict a Ricky Hatton KO. Check left hook and Khan's flying into the corner padding.

    They're not.

    They're not, they're not, they're not.

People need to stop repeating that.

Khan has no stylistic advantage over Mayweather.

    He isn't faster.

He isn't sharper on the counter.

He isn't better on the outside (and has zero inside game).

NO stylistic advantage, or any kind of advantage period. None. That whopper has been getting bandied around for years now. It has never been true.

I might even rate them Mayweather > Algieri > Khan in terms of pop @ 147, based on what just transpired..

He definitely seemed to have less pop than I'm used to. Whether that was decreased speed, sloppy technique, an off night, or some combination of those and other things, I don't know.

But I always thought Floyd would score a KO should he face Khan, and tonight certainly reinforced that belief to a high degree.

I really thought Khan would do a number on Chris. I am half tempted to go back and watch Khan-Malignaggi. Maybe my memory of that fight no longer reflects the reality, but that was one fight where I always felt Khan boxed in a disciplined fashion that should be the norm for him, and I don't recall seeing him embrace that approach ever before or since. So I'm wondering if I'm just a toastoid.

That's exactly what he did, yeah. Just stifled Khan's flurries...made him very self conscious, and probably reduced his speed.

    :yep

I'll take that a step further - the gap has widened in Floyd's favor (even as he's aged) the last couple of years.

    :deal

As it did with Pacquiao, but that was always inevitable. (Pac's style is built to deteriorate with age, far more than Mayweather's)

No. Poor ****ysis, sorry. Khan is the polar opposite to fu¢king Hatton man get real.
Khan could and would take plenty of close rounds from Mayweather simply due to speed and volume. Judges can't score for Mayweather so much unless he literally catches Khan clearly with every counter punch, and, although he's in a league of his own at that, Khan's flashy in-and-out combos combined with his v quick handspeed would give him a number of rounds. Mayweather could look 'old overnight' in that match-up and will NOT be taking it for sure.

    Speed? Really?

And absent the speed myth, there ain't going to be much volume against Floyd.

Please guys stop mentioning Khan and Mayweather together.

It was a questionable fight before tonight and after tonight's showing I am sure there are plenty more options out there for Floyd.

However opinions change in boxing within a day. A great performance by Kell tomorrow may also see him get the push he deserves for the Mayweather fight. That will be a great fight.
