    He doesn't have the biggest fanbase out of all the potential opposition for Floyd. Marquez has been talking openly about potentially rematching Mayweather. So has Alvarez and Cotto. ALL 3 of those guys have MUCH larger fanbases than Khan, and honestly, all 3 of those guys are exponentially better fighters than AMir Khan.

    If Khan wanted to do things the right way, he would've fought for a strap at WW rather than feasting on JWW fighters moving up to the division after coming off a loss. I haven't been impressed with Amir in years, and I'll continue to be unimpressed.

    He should've rematched Garcia already or fought Brook for his strap. He wants to go for the path of least resistance and be awarded with a fight against the best welterweight in the world.

    I'm sorry, but how exactly is he a more worthy opponent for FLoyd at WW compared to guys like Bradley, Marquez, Thurman or Brook?? He suffers from delusions of grandeur and I really hope he doesn't get the Mayweather match. Guys like him shouldn't be rewarded with mega fights when they've done next to nothing to deserve it.

    He fights 3 times at WW against non-titlists and somehow he thinks he can leapfrog all these top WW contenders who've been campaigning in the division for years?? That's nonsensical.

    I've said it before the fight and I'll say it now, Floyd fighting Khan is an insult to the boxing community.

    Yup. He's probably the only rated Welter i'd pick Floyd to spark.

    I'm not sure if Floyd KO's Khan (although it wouldn't surprise me), but Floyd would beat down Khan so badly in the boxing match that it would make Floyd-Canelo look competitive by comparison.

    :lol::good

    Funny and a great read, as always.

    To be fair mate, I think Team Khan are well aware of Amir's frailties, which is why they have tried to backdoor their way to a fight with Floyd.

    But as that venture is almost certainly doomed to failure, my guess is they take the Brook fight. As the alternative is a few very low key bouts until someone unexpected and unheralded sparks him.

    :yikes that shot Chris landed at the end of the first round from either of those two? Amir would still be asleep.

    Have you noticed how the Khan fanatics always give you the KO ratio of his opponents by dividing KOs by wins instead of total fights? Cracks me up. As if a fighter with a 1-200-0 record with the 1 win coming by way of stoppage has a 100% KO ratio for his career :lol:

    yes floyd could fight him now but will receive massive backfire because people will see khans lackluster performance and see right through floyds cherry pick. as for floyd going for the ko that could massively backfire as well because he could injure his hands spelling disaster for him, plus i don't think glass hands floyd has the power to ko glass chin khan.

    Sadly he made the Brook bout much less intriguing too with his performance tonight. Don't get me wrong, it'll still be a massive fight in terms of $$$. But I went from leaning 75-25 in Kell's direction to about 95-5 after tonight. I know the Americans and the Khan fans will be all :ibutt over this but if the version of Funtime Frankie that I expect to see tomorrow turned up in a Khan bout I think he'd give Amir a real run for his money.

    Love him or hate him but this forum is proof that the fight is the next logical fight for FMJ

    Khan fought against an unknown fighter on a Friday night on a channel who no one has ever heard of before last night and this morning 90% of the threads on the board are about him. Regardless of Khans in ring skills he is one of the top 5 names in the sport.

    Come on Floyd please fight a big name before you call it quits!

    Listen mate, if Kell does not blast Frankie into Jupiter's orbit within 30 seconds the British section of this site is probably going to go bonkers.

    For once it will be the Americans that will have to come in and be the voice of reason. :lol:

    I mean, we could have guys like mvc (who is actually ok if you can get him into a subject that has nothing to do with Mayweather) rationalising and defusing the situation for us. :nut.

    Frankie has the talent to give Amir a good fight. I once wrote on here that there wasn't as much between Khan and Gavin as some believed,. And almost started another civil war! Only this one would have been fought out between the d!ckheads and the nobaliers. :lol:

    :lol::rofl:lol:

    I can't imagine what Kell would actually have to do to Frankie to impress the Americans. My heart really goes out to Frankie here because if he does his job and makes this as awkward for Kell as I expect him to then he won't get a shot against a top guy (and certainly none of the Americans) for I don't know how long. His best chance to be in a fight of this magnitude again in the next few years will be if he's set up as the "tune up fight" if a guy like Guerrero/Chaves/Ali/Rios takes an unexpected loss. Then if he wins that bout the former "top 10 WW" he beats will be immediately declared shot for taking a second loss in a row to "a bum like Frankie Gavin"!! It drives me mental :ibutt

    I actually get on quite well with MVC. I think we've come to an understanding about which topics to avoid and when the other is just having a laugh. He's a good gagster and he follows the international scene much closer than most of the West of the Atlantic lot on here. Can't say we always agree, but he's a good lad :good
