Most of them happen in the U.K, it's an ongoing trend there that needs to be stopped.

It's so B.S to the fighters.

Anytime you get stunned and moving back into the ropes, the ref comes in and wave his hand and stops the fight. :huh:barf

Really happy for Blackwell, he is a really nice young man, hopefully he can make a nice few quid.

I still think it was a poor stoppage, Howard Foster has too much history with these sort of stoppages.

Yes he did, but the fact that Blackwell is a sloppy finisher has no bearing on whether it ought to be stopped.

The ref's consideration (and ours as fans, though we seem to often lose sight of this) ought to be the fighter's safety.

RYDER WAS NOT INTELLIGENTLY DEFENDING HIMSELF. Yes, Blackwell kept missing going a bit wild, but Ryder was flying into the ropes, eyelids drooping, hands down. If a punch had caught him solidly he'd be unconscious, and it more than one landed people would be complaining about Foster letting him absorb too much. Nobody's ever happy. :conf

Did you know Carl Froch knocked out 80,000 people in Wembley Stadium?

Have no doubt he would win the fight regardless. Had all the momentum after turning it around.
These British cards are the s--t. Bonus not having to sit through 12 rounds of Bradley Skeete either.

Blackwell dropped Bursak which is something N'Dam, Khomitsky, Murray, and Vera failed to do.

Britain needs an up and coming knockout specialist in the middle weights to replace Mr. Froch, who is "three days til retirement", as they say.

    Mr. Foster is that man.

Ryder was never going to reproduce the 3 two rounds and Blackwell was only going to come on stronger and stronger

He wasn't just stunned. He looked half asleep, hands down, posture slumped & slack, putting up no defense.

Blackwell shouldn't be penalized and deprived of the stoppage just because he threw a bunch of sloppy punches and missed. The stoppage wasn't based on those, it was based on the punches before that by which Ryder was too hurt to clear the cobwebs and stand up straight unassisted by the ropes.
