What is Gavin's body fat meant to be, 12-15%?

Sounds like you don't know anything about nutrition. Eat under your maintenance calories while keeping adequate protein intake and you lose body fat it's pretty much as simple as that. I don't know anything about frankie but I do know that he could be 7% bodyfat if he put in the work, as can every single human being. If you think otherwise you should either do some research and come back here to discuss it or just stop talking about it altogether.

I imagine my PhD in Sport Science doesn't really count so I will go back to my reading.

Out of interest as a sport scientist what are your thoughts on Gavin using Kayes as his nutritionist?

He has massively credibility within the sport and the athletes. I'm not too sure about the scientific underpinning of his weight making and S&C as the most effective for boxing. But most boxers who I know who use him absolutely swear by him and sometimes that trumps the actual efficacy of the methods, within reason.

Making the weight is relatively easy and most boxers can do it on their own. Making it effectively and minimising any potential negative performance impact is the tricky bit.

On top of that you can have the best nutritionist in the world but if the athlete has low adherence then it makes no difference.

The sport science support for the GB amateurs is largely very very good. Though interestingly very few of the boxers continue with it when they turn pro!

Kerry is good if you need a diet for bodybuilding, not boxing.
