    Those combinations were beautiful, Linares is class, don't understand why people dislike the guy at all.

    He showed a lot of heart all night but in that moment he chose to sit down (knowing full well that his body language and the very act of sitting down in those circumstances was going to cop him an L) instead of fighting through it.

    May sound harsh but this is a pain game, I'm not saying I blame him or meaning it with any disrespect but he did bottle it by definition. He wilted and didn't want to bang on. No shame whatsoever, considering the state of his face and the momentum Linares had and the hurting that was getting put on him, but he made a clear, deliberate, conscious decision to excuse himself from the last few minutes of action.

    He took a knee to recover, not to quit. That being said the state he was in you can't argue much with stopping it

    People trying to sweep under the carpet that mitchells eye was caused by a headbutt.

    Mitchell would have won without that cut and swelling caused by the headbutt.

    If Linares only had a chin.. he'd be something special.. **** you guys who say he's not.. but he's a special talent with a horrible terrible chin... worse than Khan's admittedly.. but more talented than Khan.

    Alright, maybe I just don't understand the way Brits use that word.

    Is "bottled it" not synonymous with "quit" then? Or does it have a stronger negative connotation?

    Because there are times when a boxer can be said to have quit but not have it be a knock on them.
