    'Bottled it' refers to losing your nerve - or as we sometimes call it 'losing your bottle'. I suppose in this circumstance it refers to not being able to pull it off on the world stage.

    Yup as I said Spinks bottled it v. Tyson, Bruno against Tyson in their second fight ... no way you can say Mitchell bottled it tonight although he did, as you point out, quit.

    Again - if anyone construed that I was insulting Mitchell for his actions, I wasn't. It was completely justifiable on his part to save it for another day. My only point was that it was his choice to depart the contest, didn't mean it to come off judgmental or use strong language.
