:patsch Still enough to beat a world-level fighter and be a top 6 WW.

Saying that, no-one considers the fact that Khan fought badly on the night and underperformed while Algieri raised his game.

People seem to think fighters are shot or lose speed after a bad performance, Khan still had enough to win and find a way to win. He sometimes looks superb, other times not so, but he still came away with the win.

This board severely underrate Algieri that is the problem. He lost against at P4P fighter before Khan faced him, he was never powerful but he is a great boxer and had more power than people give him credit for.

Khan is damn near unwatchable on his own.

Why would anyone want to watch him against Mayweather?

There is no intrigue in this fight. Mayweather plays tag, Khan may even outland Mayweather, but he doesn't have any real power, so he can't knock Mayweather out.

Some of Khan's shots get through while Mayweather is on the ropes, just like Pacquaio's, Maidana's, Cotto's, etc... but Khan gets no credit at all for landing shots.

Mayweather lands the more eye catching shots in the center of the ring, but they inflict minimal damage. It's just that they land in the center of the ring, so they are most visible.

Compubox makes it look like Mayweather landed almost all of his punches and doesn't count any punch Khan landed on Mayweather while he's on the ropes.

Mayweather wins a decision. Mayweather fans say he's The Best Ever.

It's basically a game of touch and run by Mayweather in another cowardly performance, and boxing fans lose.

WHO would ever want to see this fight???

You know, the way judges score fights for Mayweather, I was thinking that without the knockouts in the Anthony Joshua vs Kevin Johnson fight, the judges would have had Johnson ahead because of his defense against the ropes.

    LOL.

The fact is, you can't win a decision against Mayweather. The rules are skewed. You have to knock him out to win. It's the only way.

That's why I doubt anyone will pay to see Mayweather fight anyone unless it's GGG or Cotto.

Cotto was the first fight in years where Mayweather actually had to fight and he got so beat up, he contemplated quitting the sport.

    That's it though.

What kind of sucker would you have to be to watch him fight Khan????

And Thurman, who will eventually be a star, just won't be able to catch a retreating, running away Mayweather.

Thurman would look so clean after the fight like he took a shower, but he would lose the fight because you can't beat Mayweather unless you knock him out.

Weren't you saying Khan was the boogeyman and Floyd was ducking him and would never fight his kryptonite?

    Prove it.

Bring up one of my posts where I say this, you imbecile.

What kind of a coward are you???

Just like your hero. You have to make things up to support your agenda.

Your hero's own FATHER called him a coward.

    You can have that win.

    EMBRACE IT.

Khan was troubled by Algeiris size and pressure, but still beat him comfortably. Last night told us nothing about how a Floyd/Khan fight plays out. If Khans chin can hold up to Floyds right hand he could make it interesting.

That's because they anticipated that it would eventually lead to Pac.

Now since the Pac fight happened, there isn't anything for people to look forward to.

Nobody wants to see him fight Khan. Most American's don't care about Khan.

Certainly, nobody was impressed by his performance against Algieri.

It doesn't matter if he makes it interesting.

And Khan's chin will hold up because Mayweather won't commit to any of his punches.

The fact is, Khan is not knocking Mayweather out, so he can't win the fight.

You don't beat Mayweather unless you KO him.

It's the only way to win.

Actually not paying for fights like that would make more sense to force a Pac fight. Miniq has a point.

and look at how boring the pac fan was.

    Maidana 1-2 was more entertaining.
    Mosley, cotto was more entertaining

All 3 of those guy gave money may a better run than pac.

I'm a big maidana fan nobody gave him a chance. Why I still wouldn't count flawed khan out against old Floyd. He's the best of a generation. Floyd is literally just fulfilling his contract with "a solid competitor" and someone who is half decent. Khan ain't a bum folks...I know you wish he was...

Pac out landed the guy. He landed the harder punches. He hurt Floyd.

Floyd's own father accused Floyd of running and called him a coward.

Floyd is the one that ruined that fight.

Pac beat him, but because Floyd didn't get knocked out or knocked down, people just gave the fight to Floyd.

At worst, Pac got a draw in that fight.

Maidana beat Floyd in my opinion in the first fight. He landed the harder punches, dictated where the fight was fought, and hurt Floyd.

Yet, Floyd won that fight too.

Fact of the matter is, you can't beat Floyd unless you KO him.

Khan looked barely faster than Chris friday night. He ain't bothering Floyd, Floyd's faster. Floyd was faster than pac on May 2 & pac was faster than chris.

No way Khan win, might even get KOed if he managed to somehow get stunned like 3 times in the Algieri fight...
