I believe we are talking about the business side of it, not entertainment. Khan fight might make sense from a financial standpoint - is what I said.

Right. I thought Pac won the fight when I watched it, but I was on the phone for half the fight talking ****, so I was ****ed when Floyd won.

The next day I saw a lot of articles that said Floyd won.

I just assumed that I wasn't paying attention to the fight, but then I watched the rematch, expecting it to be a Floyd masterclass.

    It wasn't.

In fact, Pacquaio was beating him and in some cases beating him up. Pacquaio won the fight.

I refuse to go with everyone else's opinion.

My eyes don't lie. Pac landed more punches, landed the harder punches, hurt Floyd, and ultimately won the fight.

    That's the truth.

That win is nothing but a lie, a cowardly lie.

Last night did tell us many things about how a Floyd/Khan fight plays out. Khan struggled to outpoint a fighter who is mediocre in every aspect of boxing. Algieri is not technical, does not have a good defense, does not have big power in his hands, and Khan barely edged many rounds. The last time a (36 year old) elite fought Algieri, he knocked him down 6 times and did not give him a single round from start to finish. Add to that, a potential Floyd fight will be in Vegas where you need to decisively win at least 8 rounds to win the decision. It's a simple no-no for Khan. He will push it for the money but I don't think himself believes he can beat Floyd even in his dreams.

Totally agree. Mayweather has been gifted most of his biggest decisions. He has it all done and dusted as long as he doesn't get knocked out. His flashy lead rights that don't really hurt his opponent are worth 5 punches. The fact he doesn't force the action is a positive whereas the aggressor is usually given the close rounds / fight. He is fully hype and Khan is of the same ilk. Damn that hugging is sad.

people paid for him vs the ghost FFS
khan being from the UK would have an entirely different draw than anyone that has fought Mayweather besides Pac, another guy with more than just american appeal

It's basically a game of touch and run by Mayweather in another cowardly performance, and boxing fans lose.

this is how Floyd fights and they call it 'boxing'

This is not a PPV fight. It should be on HBO or Showtime to be honest. Khan will get beat with ease.

If Mayweather wants another big PPV payday he is going to have to take a risky fight. He will have to fight someone like GGG to get big numbers. But no way in hell Mayweather fights GGG.

Mayweather never looked faster than Pacquiao; in fact, when in close range, Pac looked faster to me. Pac's speed made Floyd run and keep his distance for 12 rounds. They seemed pretty equal in speed but Floyd just had reach advantage. In the end, fight was a dud where neither guy did much at all and so Floyd won by default. In any fight where little happens, Floyd will win.
