I don't think Hearn will throw him in with Russel Jr yet. Selby will probably have a couple of easier defences in Wales. Get a bit more experience and build a good fan base. It would cost a lot of money to get the top guys over to the U.K. for a fight with Selby so it would help if he built up his fan base. As for who wins, at this moment in time, Russel Jr. I really rate Russel Jr and would love to see a rematch with Lomachenko.
Since Hearn seems to have become Haymons man in Europe, this fight wouldn't be too hard to make. Good fight if it happened.
Also, Selby is a good 3-4 inches taller than Russell. Selby's reach and height could negate Russell's speed.
I think it'd be a very close and competitie fight but I see Selby winning this as well if he can use the Lomachenko blueprint. I think Gary Russell Jr struggles with movers, he just fights too planted to the ground.
Selby is good, but he couldn't beat Russel Jr. He'd be fighting in slow-motion. Lomachenko has forgotten more about boxing then Selby knows.
Exactly, I think Russel's speed would be too much for Selby, maybe a few more challenging opponents before stepping up to that level.
