Right now he really doesn't have too many fan friendly fights. He already beat Cotto and Canelo. Khan and Garcia have looked terrible. Thurman, Brook are not proven, PAC is out with the shoulder problem. I think this is the time to make the fight with GGG
If Cotto beats Geale, he will choose him. It would also stop Canelo taking his September slot. Canelo Vs Cotto would be massive. Will Cotto beat Geale though?
Garcia is a household name? 😳 I am the only person who I know that knows Danny Garcia, and I watch boxing! Household name, especially in USA, is a stretch!
Wanna see him against Brook or Thurman but it'll probably be someone like Cotto or Garcia, just hopefully it isn't Khan after all his begging.
Mayweather does go for the tougher option to be fair, I just don't think Khan cuts it and his constant mouth yapping when he picked Algieri after last time picking nobody... doesn't sit well with the fans. If Cotto knocks Geale out, I really believe he'll pick him again, he goes for the big win that has resonated with the fans if you look at his track record. Brook's beat two poor opponents, Garcia has struggled with Peterson, Herrera (both had strong cases of winning) and Sobchak or whatever, Alvarez will never beat him, Pacquiao was resoundingly dismantled, Marquez is sidelined will never beat him, Thurman needs another big win (Guerrero is equally as impressive as Alexander and in a dominant fashion with a relevant opponent). So Cotto it is, massive name, another belt and maybe a sour taste from the first match which was gruelling though not unimpressive by floyd.
This is Mayweather's last fight and I think that he is gonna go outside the box and pick someone totally unexpected. I think that he wants to box without all the heavy drama shiit. He vacated his belts so that should tell you that he is not trying to prove anything. He don't need the money because he has said that whoever he fights, he stands to make in the neighborhood of 100 million. This is his goodbye fight and I think that he wants to box a good boxer that will make the fight intriguing and interesting but not dangerous. I wouldn't be mad at him because he has reached heights that has never been reached before and set monetary records that may never be reached again.
