Fighters come back from brutal knockouts. Hearns was destroyed by Leonard and came back. And did it again after getting destroyed by Hagler.

And then he went on to put a small beating on Floyd. Your point?

Pacman's win over Cotto though Corrales is a good win, Cotto 2009 is a very good win even though plasterhands had already beaten him severely.

Pacquiao's resume is equally as impressive as Mayweather's regardless of who got dismantled in their fight, to say otherwise is silly. Yes, Mayweather fought better versions of some common opponents but Manny has the mexican legendary wars, recently Mayweather dominated Canelo, a future hall of famer imo but Manny came back from KTFO and has beaten p4p Bradley twice, they're both impressive resumes for their own reasons.

It wasn't a brutal knockout, it was a prolonged beating (possibly with illegal hand wraps).

Corrales is a much better win but that's Mayweathers 2nd best win. Cotto is like Pacquiao's 7th best win

#5 P4P, undefeated, dominant 130 lb Diego Corrales who would later go on to reclaim a belt at the weight from Casamayor

    OR

top 5 WW, two wars in his last three (2-1), shaky 145 lb Miguel Cotto who never fought at the weight again

This is Boxing Forum 24, so I expect no less than a 2:1 ratio in favor of Manny Pacquiao, as all other polls comparing Pac to Mayweather in any manner indicate, no matter how extreme and far fetched.

Obvious answer is obvious answer, no disrespect to any of these fighters.

Why is Corrales considered a great win? Serious question, I was too young to follow boxing back then.
But going into the fight Corrales' best wins were Garcia, Gainer, Juuko and Manfredy, I'm assuming; he was 5-0 in titles fights and champion for only a year and a few months. How did that merit a top 5 P4P position?
Mayweather actually fought Manfredy and Juuko before the Corrales fight, as well, and finished both of them a round earlier (I thought Corrales was supposed to be the puncher?).
Somebody school, Why is Corrales considered a great win? I was always curious as to why people give Mayweather so much credit for that win.

We as boxing fans tend to over-hype punchers and I feel that could have been the case for Corrales? Looking at it from the outside, nothing about Corrales (at least resume wise) would have led me to believe that was a great win.

I'm not trying to discredit Mayweather's win, I am ignorant to this information.
Where does Corrales rank in Mayweather's resume?

Corrales may have been destroyed by Clottey. But lets not forget that Cotto had a lot of trouble with a injured Clottey in 2009... He barely won that fight.

Because he was the #1 fighter in the division, rank #4 p4p, 33-0. The kingpin of the division or so it seemed.

You dksab. Castillo took a lot out of corrales vice versa. Clottey fought a practically shot fighter in Corrales. You're an idiot.
