Only in boxfan22's infantile mind, that's all.

I wouldn't agree to him being the physically strongest HW by a long shot. I will say he was probably the mentally stronger than the bulk of his opponents.
There is no way on earth he was stronger than George Foreman, but in their bout, Ali kept asking George "is that all you got" when George body punched him on the ropes. Ali needed great mental and core strength to get through this sort of punishment and go on to win. Having said this, Ali would have been a great deal stronger than the average guy on the street, he was a HW champ after all. I would say Liston was stronger than Ali too, but Ali had the strength elsewhere to beat him twice.
    Just my opinion.

Foreman throwing Chuvalo around like a ragdoll gives an indication on how strong he was.

But isn't that what you're doing over on the Dempsey-Greb fight thread? When you dismiss the testimony of several people who were there (Walker, Jack Kofoed, Grantland Rice, Jess Willard, etc)? People who pretty much refute your insistent claim that Greb would fall apart under the first solid blow Dempsey landed?

Practice what you preach my friend ;)

Ali was letting LHWs push him through the ring and bully him around. So no, def. not physically strong. His assets were speed, reflexes and ring IQ, not raw force.

It's like something that I'm sure most of you have seen....a relatively smallish person, maybe even a woman, able to win in arm wrestling against a bigger, stronger person. The reason for this, as explained ad nauseum, is LEVERAGE and TECHNIQUE, and not brute strength.

Are you referring to Jones? Because Ali handled Foster like a puppet, but took a couple of shots for not showing any respect whatsoever. And Jones certainly didn't bull him around. He staggered Ali with some good shots, but he bullied him around as much as Young bullied Foreman around.

Also Ali was still young and developing physically back then. Cooper said Ali was much stronger in 1966 than in 1963.

At his best, yes he was stronger. The Klitschkos are taller than Ali so they would just lean on him. Do you think punching power is more important than physical strength?

Your feeble mind can't comprehend greatness. Plain and simple.

Ali manhandled monsters so I can't understand why you wouldn't agree that he's the physically strongest fighter. You're blind because you obviously haven't watched the fight between Ali and Foreman. Ali manhandled Foreman so he's obviously the physically stronger fighter. Watch the fight. Ali proved that he was physically stronger than Liston when he got the best of him in the few clinches. It's just facts.

Yet he couldn't do the same to Jimmy Young. Ali letting Chuvalo punch him to the body gives you an indication on how strong Ali's body was in mid to late 60's.

What bull **** is this? Your troll level is over 9000. Ali is obviously physically strong. It's a fact you can't accept.

You're stating nonsense again. Parkinson stated that Ali was a massive guy. You're obviously confused by thinking a guy that can punch harder than another guy makes them physically stronger. Look at Bruce lee for example. He was a small guy yet was physically stronger than other fighters. The reason Ali manhandled the biggest hitters was because of his brute strength. Accept the facts instead of stating a lousy and meaningless opinion that makes no sense whatsoever.

Ali wasn't that physically strong in the early 60's. He was skinny at that time. I'm talking about Ali in the mid to late 60's. That's when he looked bigger and was the physically strongest fighter. Cooper could not be more bang on.
